[PGP Dual/Retail III Semester] 1. ARRANGEMENT OF CONTENTS: The sequence in which the project report material should be arranged and bound should be as follows: 1. Cover/Title page 2. Declaration 3. Company Supervisor Certificate 4. Institutes Project Mentors Certificate 5. Acknowledgement 6. Table of contents with page numbers 7. List of fig & tables with page numbers 8. Abstract/ Executive Summary of the Project 9. Main text 10. List of references 11. Appendices 2. GENERAL FORMATTING GUIDELINES: 1. Size: International standard paper size A4 (297x210mm) should be used. 2. Page number: Page should be numbered consecutively and clearly. No page number should be indicated on title page, supervisors certificates, declaration and acknowledgement, however pages are to counted from title page. From title page to abstract page Greek numbers should be used. From main text to end of thesis Indian numerals should be used. All typing should be on right hand pages only. 3. Margin: Top 1.0, Bottom 1.0 Left 1.5 Right 1.0 4. Line spacing: 1.5 5. Font: Times new roman, size 10/12 for text, larger fonts may be used for headings & subheadings. The impression on the typed copies should be black in colour. Main text should be justified. All main headings in center and subheadings should be Left aligned. 6. CD-ROM: All report should include soft copy on CD-ROM accompanied with report in pocket pasted on inside of back cover. 7. Text: Before producing the final copies of a thesis/project report the candidate should ensure that all the spelling, grammar, punctuation and bibliography is complete and exact. 8. Project report preparation & binding: reports should normally be bound using temporary binding to facilitate the incorporation of amendments which might be required by the examiners. After examination report should be hard bound to resist damage or knocking. Twing-ring, spring-back and spiral binders are not acceptable, as thesis bound in these ways frequently do not survive longer.

Present the quantitative results of your experiments. Graphical data presentation such as graphs and histograms are frequently better than tables. What are the basic differences revealed in the data? Are they statistically significant? 12. DISCUSSION What conclusions do the results support about the strengths and weaknesses of your method compared to other methods? How can the results be explained in terms of the underlying properties of the algorithm and/or the data. 13. RECOMMENDATIONS/ SUGGESTIONS Based on the result and discussion provide suitable suggestions for the improvement on the overall performance of companys working. 14. CONCLUSION Briefly summarize the important results and conclusions presented in the paper. What are the most important points illustrated by your work? How will your results improve future research and applications in the area? 15. LIST OF REFERENCES This section lists all references you cited in the rest of your report. (Be sure to use citation markers (e.g., [Bieber & Vitali, 1997] or [NY Times 5/20/01] for articles or [Sun URL] for Web sites) inside your report whenever you refer to a reference. Do not list references you have not referred to.
