Fashion's greatest secret is about to come undone. Like most people, I bet you thought women and gay men have been the driving force behind the globally burgeoning fashion industry. Like most people, you were wrong. Since togas were haute couture, supernatural beings have been relegated to the fashion industry by an ancient curse. You can blame deep v-necks on the vampires and Uggs on the werewolves. Assembly lines? Zombies. Silly Bandz? Trust me, you don't want to know. For 2,000 years, these secrets have been kept. Until now.

Dear Editor/Producer: Fashion and vampires have dominated pop culture for years, and as hits like The Twilight Series and The Devil Wears Prada continue to achieve blockbuster acclaim, it seems that these two literary themes are as hot as ever. So imagine—for a moment—a combination of both. Like most people, I bet you thought women and gay men have been the driving force behind the globally burgeoning fashion industry. Like most people, you were wrong. Since togas were haute couture, supernatural beings have been relegated to the fashion industry by an ancient curse. Explains a lot, huh? You can blame those deep v-necks on the vampires and Uggs on the werewolves. For 2,000 years, these secrets have been kept. Until now. In Fangs & Stilettos, the first book in a new series by Anthony DiFiore, the entire world of fashion is turned upside down and reimagined with sorcerers, vampires, witches and secret societies. In a country where books like Twilight, The Southern Vampire Mysteries, and Confessions of a Shopaholic are massively popular, Fangs & Stilettos is a refreshingly unique take on high concept fiction. We hope that you’ll consider coverage and/or a review of this new and exciting book. Please contact me with questions, or to schedule an interview with the author. “Twilight meets The Devil Wears Prada”
Fangs and Stilettos by Anthony DiFiore
CHICAGO, IL. February 2012—Like most people, I bet you thought women and gay men have been the driving force behind the globally burgeoning fashion industry. Like most people, you were wrong. Since togas were haute couture, supernatural beings have been relegated to the fashion industry by an ancient curse. Makes a lot of sense now, huh? You can blame those deep v-necks on the vampires and Uggs on the werewolves. For 2,000 years, these secrets have been kept. Until now. Candice Brown, a sorceress who has had so much plastic surgery that she can now control plastic with her mind, wants to break the ancient curse that binds her people to fashion. If she gets her way, humans will learn the truth about her industry: that there’s a reason why models, designers, and perfume salespeople are so weird. But in breaking the curse, could Candice be beckoning the extinction of her kind? FANGS & STILETTOS sucks readers into a world that would make Vlad Dracula roll over in his grave. The entire supernatural world has been reinvented around pumps and cashmere, little black dresses and two-buttons suits. This is a world where Chanel designs coffins, where zombies work assembly lines, and where a shape shifter can buy a Jimmy Choo bag that changes along with his transformation. FANGS & STILETTOS is the first book in a new series by Anthony DiFiore that follows the adventures of a young group of fashionobsessed supernaturals as they navigate an industry held together by vampires, ghouls, and other strange creatures. Both funny and dramatic, the author has crafted a story with a perfect blend of fashion and magic that will make readers laugh, gasp, and leap in anticipation for book two. FANGS & STILETTOS will be available on May 15th from inGroup Press, in paperback and all major e-book formats. Warmest, JP Souza Publicity, inGroup Press

About  the  Author
Anthony  DiFiore—Chicago,  IL
Many  years  ago,  my  younger  sister  Gillian  asked  me  to  play  dolls  with  her.  It  was  a  huge   shift  away  from  video  games,  and  I  was  concerned  that  my  baby  sister  was  going  to  turn   into  a  lady  despite  my  bad  influence.  Within  ten  minutes  of  playing  dolls,  I  grew  bored.   Where  was  the  action?  Where  was  the  mystery?  All  they  did  was  talk  about  boys  and   shopping.  So  I  proposed  an  idea:  what  if  the  dolls  were  detectives  investigating  crimes  and   mysteries  within  the  fashion  industry?     My  sister  fell  in  love  with  the  idea,  and  Fangs  and  Stilettos  was  born.  We  started  with  six   dolls,  but  the  game  became  so  much  fun  that  every  month  I  was  running  to  Target  to  buy   more.  Somewhere  along  the  line  we  decided  that  the  dolls  should  have  supernatural   abilities.  One  of  them  became  a  vampire.  Another  was  a  telepath.  And  the  marriage   between  fashion  and  the  supernatural  was  born.  For  years,  my  sister  told  me  I  should  write   a  book  about  our  game.  I  finally  did.  And  I  hope  readers  have  as  much  fun  with  the  story  as   Gillian  and  I  had  in  creating  it.
Anthony  DiFiore  was  born  and  raised  in  Philadelphia,  PA.  After  stints  in  Miami  and  Beijing,  he  chose  to  finish  out  his   twenties  in  Chicago,  IL.   Fangs  and  Stilettos  (inGroup  Press,  May  15th  2012)     Anthony  DiFiore
