You can attach a wire to another object (i.e. a brace) with a tie-

off. There are many methods of tying off, but the principles are

very simple: wrap the wire around the object one or more times,

then wrap the wire tightly around itself. Figure 7.1 shows my

preferred method. It helps to have a second person pull tightly

on the other end of the wire to keep the tension. If you are tying

off to angle iron, start your wrap around the flat side rather than

the sharp side.
