AROUND THE PAC-12
Down to the Wire. . . WASHINGTON controls its own destiny for
the Pac-12 regular season title. A win Thursday and it clinches
at least a share of the Pac-12 title. A pair of victories in Los
Angeles this week and it will enter the Pacic Life Pac-12 Tour-
nament as the Pac-12 regular season champion and the No.
1 seed. . . One misstep by the Huskies and CALIFORNIA can
grab a share of the Conference crown with a win at STANFORD
and, by virtue of the tie-break procedures, also the Tourna-
ments top seed. . . ARIZONA, OREGON and COLORADO still
have hopes in grabbing a share of the league crown, but need
some help during the nal week.
Pac-12 Fan Support... As Pac-12 teams continue to battle for
the regular season title and lock up favorable seeds for the Pa-
cic Life Pac-12 Tournament, fan support swelled over the last
week. Prior to last weeks games, the average attendance in
Pac-12 play was 8,028 fans. In 10 league games last week,
an average of 9,948 fans clicked the turnstiles. . . Saturdays
attendance for the UCLA at ARIZONA game was 14,724 - the
fth-largest crowd in McKale Center history and the largest for
the program since the 2008-09 season.

PAC-12 BASKETBALL WEEKLY RELEASE // February 27, 2012 3
The 20-win Mark... With the victory Saturday, WASHING-
TON posted its 20th win of the season. Its a school-record
fourth consecutive 20-win season for the Huskies. Its coach
Lorenzo Romars sixth 20-win campaign in 10 seasons in
Seattle. . . OREGON hit the 20-win mark in back-to-back
seasons for the rst time since 2002-03. Its the 13th 20-win
season in the last 14 years for coach Dana Altman, and the
14th of his career. . . ARIZONA posted its 25th 20-win sea-
son over the last 28 seasons. Its the sixth 20-win campaign
in coach Sean Millers eight seasons as a head coach. . . At
23-7, CALIFORNIA has posted 22 or more wins in three of
the last four seasons. For coach Mike Montgomery, its his
13th 20-win season in the last 14 years, and the 20th 20-win
season in his 30-year career. . . COLORADO and STANFORD
each need one victory to reach the 20-win plateau. For the
Buffaloes, it would mark the rst time in school history with
back-to-back 20-win seasons. For the Cardinal, it would be
the rst 20-win season since 2009.
League Wins. . . ARIZONA has posted 12 or more league
wins in back-to-back years for the rst time since winning 12
or more league games from 1998-2003. . . CALIFORNIAs
13 Pac-12 wins equal the most for the Golden Bears in Pac-
10/Pac-12 league play since the league began playing an
18-game schedule in 1978-79. The school mark for league
wins came in 1957 and 1959 when the Bears nished with
14-2 records in PCC (Pacic Coast Conference) play. The
1959 squad went on to capture the NCAA title. . . WASHING-
TON has posted 11 or more league wins in four consecu-
tive seasons for the rst time since the Huskies rolled off 11
or more league wins in six straight seasons from 1934-39.
. . OREGON has reached 11 league wins for the rst time
since 2007, the same season the Ducks captured the Pac-
10 Tournament crown and reached the NCAA Elite Eight. . .
For COLORADO, the 11 league wins are the most for the Buf-
faloes since also posting 11 league victories in 1996-97 - its
rst season in the Big 12 Conference.
/RZ0N/ senior 0 Kyle Fogg has posted a pair of double-
doubles over the past four games - the only double-doubles
of his career. During those four games, hes averaging 15.8
ppg/10.0 rpg.
USC reshman 0 Byron Wesley had a solid week for the Tro-
jans, averaging 20.0 ppg/7.0 rpg on the Arizona road swing,
including a career-best 22 points at Arizona State. He shot
a combined 16-of-28 (.571) from the eld. . . Wesley has
posted double digits in seven straight games, averaging 14.9
ppg/5.8 rpg during that stretch. . . At 11.4 ppg in Pac-12
play only, Wesley is third among Pac-12 freshmen in scor-
ing in league action (Washingtons Tony Wroten - 16.7 ppg;
Stanfords Chasson Randle - 13.8 ppg).
UT/H junior C Jason Washburn is shooting 33-of-55 (.600)
over the last six games, averaging 13.2 ppg/6.2 during that
span. Meanwhile, teammate junior G Chris Hines also has
had the hot hand over the last ve games, posting double
digits in each of those games and averaging 13.4 ppg.
w/SHN0T0N ST/TE junior F Brock Motum has aver-
aged 23.4 points in the last eight games and has extend-
ed his double digit scoring streak to 12 games. He has
reached double digits in 26 of 28 games this season. . .
He has scored 20-plus points in nine games this season
and in ve of his last eight. . . Over the last 12 games,
Motum is averaging 21.1 points/6.8 rebounds, shooting
88-of-157 (.561) from the eld.
0RE00N has won nine o its last 12 with the three losses
coming by ve, one and three points respectively, and are
making a case for NCAA Tournament consideration. . .
All three of Oregons non-conference losses are to teams
with a combined 65-23 record (Virginia 21-7, Vanderbilt
20-9, BYU 24-7). . . With 25 points in the win at Oregon
State, senior G Garrett Sim now has 1,001 career points
and became the 32nd player in school history to reach
1,000 career points, joining teammate E.J. Singler who
joined the club the previous week.
0ver the last six games, ST/NF0RD reshman 0 Chas-
son Randle has found the touch from three-point range,
shooting 21-of-33 (.636) beyond the arc during that
stretch. Hes averaging 17.0 ppg over in that span.
C0L0R/D0 sophomore F Andr Roberson continues to
pace the Pac-12 in double-doubles with 16, which is tied
for 5th nationally. . . Roberson has pulled down 15 or
more rebounds in a game seven times this season. His
Pac-12 leading 11.3 rebounds per game comes in at No.
3 in that nation. . . He has 319 rebounds this season and
sits seventh on the schools single-season list. Hes cer-
tainly within range of the school record of 347 rebounds,
set by Burdette Haldorson during the 1954-55 season.
Haldorson is CUs inductee into this years Pac-12 Hall of
Honor.
w/SHN0T0N ST/TE senior 0 Marcus Capers has
played 126 games in his WSU career, while the school
record is 127 games played set by George Hamilton in
1945 and 47-49. Given Capers plays in all the teams
games this season, he will play in his 127th game Thurs-
day at UCLA and his record-setting 128th game in WSUs
regular season nale Saturday at USC.
w/SHN0T0N ST/TE junior 0 Reggie Moore paces the
Pac-12 in assists with 5.6 per game, which ranks 33rd
in the nation. Should Moore be atop that category at the
end of the season, he will be the rst Cougar ever to lead
the Pac-12 in assists. His 382 career assists rank sixth
all-time in the WSU record book.
/RZ0N/ ST/TE sophomore C Jordan Bachynski has
made great strides the last third of the season. Through
the rst 18 games this year, he was averaging 2.8 ppg,
2.5 rebounds and shooting 46.2% from the eld. Over
the last 11 games, those numbers are 9.9 ppg, 6.5 rpg
and 64.9%.

FTP tool called the Pac-12 Digital XChange to share information with our media partners. In
order to access this FTP site in secure fashion, it is important for you to register with us to obtain
the necessary access credentials (a.k.a. a login id and password).

received your registration information for the Pac-12 Digital Xchange. We can help you if
you have forgotten your user id or password.
2. If you have not yet registered for an account on the Pac-12 Digital Xchange, please do the
following:
Send an email to pac-12@pac-12.org with the subject line Request for Pac-12 Media Ac-
cess containing the following information:

as it becomes available, which will be easily accessible to you and your organization. When you
receive your registration conrmation and user id/password, you will also receive detailed access
instructions and usage information for Pac-12 Digital XChange. For your reference, the FTP site
is accessible on the internet via a simple URL (http://www.xosdigitalxchange.com). Please be

PAC-12 BASKETBALL WEEKLY RELEASE // February 27, 2012 8
PAC-12 TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE-SEEDING AND TIE-BREAKING PROCEDURES
Seeding: The seedings and pairings shall be determined upon completion of regular season play on Sunday, March 4. The won-lost percentage record of the
teams in regular season Conference play will determine tournament seedings. The team with the best won-lost percentage in Conference play will be seeded #1,
the next best won-lost percentage in Conference play will be seeded #2, and so forth through all the seeds.
Tie-Breakers: Tie breaking procedures for determining all tournament seeding will be:
1. Two-team tie
a. Results of head-to-head competition during the regular season.
b. Each teams record vs. the team occupying the highest position in the nal regular standings, and then continuing down through the standings until one
team gains an advantage.
When arriving at another group of tied teams while comparing records, use each teams record against the collective tied teams as a group (prior to that
groups own tie-breaking procedure), rather than the performance against individual tied teams.
c. Won-lost percentage against all Division I opponents.
d. Coin toss conducted by the Commissioner or designee.
2. Multiple-team tie
a. Results of collective head-to-head competition during the regular season among the tied teams.
b. If more than two teams are still tied, each of the tied teams record vs. the team occupying the highest position in the nal regular season standings, and
then continuing down through the standings until one team gains an advantage.
When arriving at another group of tied teams while comparing records, use each teams record against the collective tied teams as a group (prior to that
groups own tie-breaking procedure), rather than the performance against individual tied teams.
If at any point the multiple-team tie is reduced to two teams, the two-team tie-breaking procedure will be applied.
c. Won-lost percentage against all Division I opponents.
d. Coin toss conducted by the Commissioner or designee.
