Having an assessment committee retreat is important because it’s an opportunity to plan the academic year projects and activities. II. Planning Budget • Retreat $1,000 • Special Assignments $13,000 • Conferences • HLC Annual Conference $5,000 • More “local” assessment related conference • How will it be determined who will go • Open up to All Assessment Committee members • Based on # of times present at committee meetings? • First come? • Open to Executive Board members • Include Master Faculty • Any Faculty and Professional Staff Assessment Resources $4,000 Adjunct Payout $3,000 Assessment Day $2,700 Professional Development Workshops $7,000 • Develop Workshops and training • Guest speakers • Critical thinking speaker • General/Assessment speaker • Special Meeting Refreshments $500 • Resource Room $3,000 • Supplies $500 • Other Newsletter • Stephanie Owen passed out AC newsletter draft and asked everyone to remark by next week • To reprographics the following week and out by week before Thanksgiving HLC Conference • Need to determine who will go
