We will continue our journey through Lent.

We will listen to the teachings of Jesus from the Sermon on the Mount!

More and more people were following Jesus and wanting to hear Him teach. Jesus sat on the side of a mountain and began to speak to them. Jesus talked about who God blesses. He told the people “God blesses those who depend on Him.” “God bless those who feel sadness.” “God blesses those who are humble.” “God blesses those who want to do right.” “God blesses those who care for others.” “God blesses those whose hearts are pure.” “God blesses those who make peace.” Jesus taught the people many other lessons, too. Matthew 5:1-12

Keep bringing your coins and dollars to help Daniel and Alexandra in Ethiopia and the Dominican Republic. As you serve, you will be following in the footsteps of Jesus!

Begin your day with prayer. Ask God to forgive you for your sins. Be aware of God’s presence with you throughout the day. Seek to follow Him. Why did people lower the man through the roof?

Practice your memory verse. You can find it in Ephesians 4:32.

At church, we talk about knowing, loving and serving God. Talk as a family about what it means to follow Jesus. In this season of Lent, encourage your family to choose one way to focus on following Jesus and invite others to join you!

The friends of the paralyzed man lowered him through the roof to get to Jesus. What were you able to do to bring your friends closer to Jesus today? How can you focus on bringing others closer to Jesus tomorrow?

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

Ephesians 4:32
