1.
OVERVIEW
With the M21 protocol installed the GTP-32 can monitor the Grass Valley M2100 Master Switcher switching bus status and trigger relay closures based on preset conditions. These conditions are defined in a table which is then used by the monitoring table to assign it an output channel (GPO). Used with the Combinatorial Logic in the GTP-32, very sophisticated definitions can be created using Boolean Logic. These definitions can also be combined with external input events (GPI) connected to the GTP-32, i.e.; interlock switches. The connection is made from the GTP-32 RS422 serial port to a RS422 port on the M2100 Switcher. From this GTP-32 the trigger definitions can be sent over a network to other GTP-32s where the output can be applied as required.
2.
INSTALLATION
The connections of the GTP consists of a cable interconnecting the GTP with the Grass Valley M2100 switcher. Connect one end of a 9pin RS422 cable to the GTP serial #1 port and then connect the other end to the Tally Expansion Bus port on the Grass Valley M2100 Switcher.
