“MS PHYLA: ARTHROPODA CLASS: ARACHNIDA THIS SPIDER IS ONLY FOLIND IN EUROPE BUT IT IS MAINLY LOCATED IN BRITAIN- ITS HABITAT IS STANDING OR SLOW MOVING WATER, IN FACT IT CANNOT SURVIVE WITHOUT IT- THEY ARE USUALLY LOCATED IN THE MARSHLANDS, AND LOWLANDS IN THE UNPOLLUTED WATER. ITS MAIN POSITION IN THE FOOD CHAIN IS A CONSUMER, IT EATS OTHER INSECTS. IT LOVES TO HUNT ITS PREY BY SITTING ON PLANT STEMS THAT ARE ON THE SURFACE OF THE WATER AND WAITING FOR THEIR DINNER TO ARRIVE- THE GREAT RAFT SPIDER REPRODUCES THE SAME WAY AS EVERY OTHER SPIDER, IT LAYS EGGS THAT THEN HATCH INTO SMALL SPIDERS WHEN THE TIME |S RIGHT- THE REASON THIS SPECIES IS ON THE VERGE OF EXTINCTION IS BECAUSE THERE HAS BEEN A MASSIVE LOSS OF LOWLAND WETLANDS (THEIR HABITAT) OVER THE YEARS. THIS HAS OCCURRED BECAUSE OF LAND DEVELOPMENT IN CERTAIN AREAS. THIS SPECIES REALLY DOES NOT MOVE OR DO MUCH AS FAR AS ANY DAILY ROUTINE IT HAS, IT REALLY CAN'T DO MUCH ELSE WITH ITS ENTIRE SURVIVABLE ENVIRONMENT COLLAPSING AROUND IT. A PICTURE OF THIS AMAZING SPIDER CAN BE FOUND HERE AT THIS WEBSITE! HTTP://WWJW)-FLICKR-COM/PHOTOS/ 7255334G@NO0/2Z37875014/
