How might special interest groups contribute to the rising costs of health care? The people who have the same ideas are termed as a special interest group. Special interest groups enjoy the ability to influence politicians to legislate in their support. A special interest group will either support or oppose health reform and will campaign in favor or against it. Candidates working in favor of their ideas are supported by them and their opposition can be damaging to any campaign. In recent times, interest group constitute for larger group of people who use campaigns cautiously to obtain their goals. They try to modify health care policies by means of embarrassment or mockery in the legislative phase to get their point of view. Special interest groups are responsible for an increased in the health care cost by utilizing their position to make health reforms an impractical idea. Special interest groups use means such as money or a bad reputation among people to force legislators to change their way. It is unlikely that the health care cost will improve if one group’s ideas are influencing the legislators, making only their voice heard and using tricks to acquire their personal goals.
