When synchronizing two tracks,you’ll need to line them up at several time scales simultane-
ously.As the timescale increases,the synchronization becomes more subtle and complex,but
no less important.Most obviously,the rhythmic sounds need to be synchronized,as do the
beats and measures,and then the longer sections.Misalignments at a small scale are usually
obvious,but larger-scale synchronization is easier to overlook.In fact,one of the most common
mistakes beginning mashup artists make is neglecting to address the tracks’interactions at this
larger time scale.
