MOBILE TELEMEDICINE

1

INTRODUCTION
‡ The design is an equipment which can detect accidents, search for accident place and send rescue alarm automatically. ‡ This design identifies the accident site effectively and efficiently and make the help available as fast as possible.

MOBILE TELEMEDICINE

2

SCOPE
‡ Its application is going to benefit the public far and wide. ‡ The installation of hardware is not expensive so it can be used by anyone and also the registration to the server is very simple. ‡ The proposed system is wireless and is fast in detecting accidents. ‡ This system is a boon to the society as it ensures a guaranteed help in the time of a mishap. ‡ People will have a feeling of security.

3

OBJECTIVES
‡ To shorten the warning time of accident and determine the accident site. ‡ To detect the accidents happening in the farthest remote areas as well. ‡ To rescue the wounded lives as fast as possible and reduce loss of lives. ‡ To make the victim not be dependant on anybody for help ‡ To make the hospitals well equipped with all the facilities.

LITERATURE SURVEY
‡ JAVA: is a widely used general purpose application programming language. ‡ Microcontroller: Microcontrollers are used to control devices automatically. ‡ Java Sockets: Are used in communication between the computers ‡ J2EE:Used for web based applications. ‡ Android: Is for mobile based application, here we use for streaming the video and sending to Hospital PC. ‡ Tomcat Server: Is a web Container where we run our web based application.

LITERATURE SURVEY
‡JSME Engine API: Is used for sending and receiving messages. ‡GSM Modem: Is the Device which is used to Send and Receive Messages. ‡GPS: Is the device which is used to detect the latitude and longitude of a particular place. ‡My SQL: Most popular open source database. ‡Goggle API: Used to locate the exact location based on latitude and longitude values. This project is an idea taken from the IEEE paper by the name TRAFFIC ACCIDENT AUTOMATIC DETECTION AND ALARM DEVICE by Wang Wei Fan Hanbo Coll. of Electr. Eng., Henan Univ. of Technol., Zhengzhou, China .

6

PROBLEM DEFINITION
‡ An automatic alarm device for traffic accident is the subject. ‡ Client and hospital have to register to the server. ‡ The device detects the accident and sends necessary information to the server. ‡ Server informs nearest hospitals using internet and database. ‡ By the help of device injured people are saved as fast as possible by reducing the delay in warning.

PROPOSED SYSTEM
‡ In this project the client and Hospital have to register through online web application and the information will be stored in Server Database. ‡ After registering the client have to install the hardware into the vehicle. ‡ When the car meet with an accident the sensor will first detect the impact, activate microcontroller which triggers the GPS and a message is sent to the server. ‡ The server will then find the location of the nearby registered Hospital depending upon the information

9

PROPOSED SYSTEM
‡ Hospital will send the ambulance to the spot. ‡ The ambulance will be equipped with certain medical instruments and the GPRS enabled mobile with camera. ‡ There will be continuous streaming of video from the site to the hospital

REQUIREMENT SPECIFICATION
Functional requirements: Purpose: The purpose of this document is to demonstrate the requirements of the project Telemedicine. Overall description: Product perspective: ‡ In this project all the Hospitals and the customer that is person who owns a vehicle has to be registered. ‡ Whenever Hospitals starts it will send a Alert message to Server Pc saying it has started functioning. ‡ Suppose a vehicle meets with an accident, the device senses the accident with the help of a metal sensor. ‡ Server sends alert message to the nearest hospitals. ‡ Ambulance streams the video of the accident vicinity to the hospital.

12

REQUIREMENT SPECIFICATION
Product features: ‡ Users can register themselves to the server. ‡ Administration searches the nearby hospital with the use of Google maps. ‡ At the client end user(vehicle owner)can terminate the whole process if the service is not needed. Operating Environment: ‡ The server pc requires Microsoft windows xp. ‡ Mobile phone with a camera and running on android v2.2 and above. ‡ Active GPS module and GSM modem in the device with good network coverage. Design and Implementation Constraints: ‡ The Product is developed using java, j2ee, android. ‡ The backend database for this project is My-SQL
