Directions Cast on 88(88, 96, 96) sts. Join in the round (careful, don’t twist your stitches!) and place marker (the contrasting coloured one) at the join. R1: *K1, p1; repeat from * to end of round. Repeat R1 until piece measures 14(15, 16, 17) cm from cast on edge. Next round: work in ribbing, placing a stitch marker every 22(22, 24, 24) sts. Decreases for Crown R1: *K1, k2tog, work in established pattern (knit the knit stitches, purl the purl stitches) until 2 sts before the next marker, K2tog tbl, slip the marker to the right needle; repeat from * to end of round. 80(80, 88, 88) sts.

This is a very simply styled hat that anyone and everyone can make and wear. The 1 x 1 rib helps the hat keep it's Continue to alternate R1 & R2 until 8 sts are left between shape and gives it a denisity for warmth.
