) Tell your child the story of Jesus and the kind of parade He was in that day. Invite your child to imagine being at that very special parade. Wonder together about how that parade looked, sounded, and smelled like. Ask your child what he or she would have done for Jesus at the parade? Create a banner that celebrates Jesus. Pretend you are carrying it at a parade for Jesus!

Jesus and His disciples were coming closer to Jerusalem. Before they arrived, Jesus told His disciples where to find the donkey He would ride into town. After finding the donkey, the disciples covered it with their coats and Jesus rode it into Jerusalem. The people in town greeted Him by placing their coats on the ground and waving palm branches. They all shouted, “Hosanna! Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!” Luke 19:28-44
