OCIL operates primarily through use of literature and arts to fulfill nonprofit mission goals. OCIL is currently active in facilitating literary advances for the Central Kentucky population, to enhance education, applied scientific technology, and charitable outreach. Overall, OCIL.org uses literature, literary and arts events to accomplish nonprofit missions: 1. Literary OCIL.org is staging the First Annual Lexington Kentucky Writers’ Day event on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at the Northside Public Library, 1733 Russell Cave Road, Lexington, Ky., 40505. Kentucky’s Poet Laureate and three other Kentucky authors will present readings or talk about their work between 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., E.S.D.S.T. (Eastern Standard Daylight Savings Time). OCIL.org is planning the First Annual Lexington Book Fair tentatively for late summer or early autumn in Lexington or a nearby city. 2. Education Facilitation of a valuable public education for all. Our Literary and Scientific missions are related educational efforts. Facilitation of applied science technology to advance society.
