GENERAL STANDARDS FOR DESIGN OF AQUEDUCT SYSTEM
2.01 Domestic Use 2.01.01 Private housing projects – 400 gallons per day per housing unit. 2.01.02 Public housing projects, renewal projects and other public-communal projects – 300 gallons per day per housing unit. 2.01.03 Rural housing projects – 250 gallons per day per housing unit. 2.02 Other Uses 2.02.01 Light Industry(Consumption for personal use only). Shall be determined based on 350 gallons of water daily per 1,000 sqft of floor space or 10,000 gallons daily per each “cuerda” of land assigned for construction of industrial buildings. 2.02.02 Heavy Industry. ( Consumption includes human needs and industrial process). The consumption for human need will be the same as in the preceding clause. The owner or the sponsor of the project shall submit the necessary information on the quantities of water to be used for the industrial process. 2.02.03 Commercial Buildings. The consumption will be determined based on 300 gallons daily per each 1,000 sqft of floor space or 7,000 gallons daily per “cuerda” of land assigned for construction of commercial buildings. 2.02.04 Office Buildings. Will be computed based on 300 gallons daily per 1,000 sqft of floor space. 2.02.05 Apartment and Condominium Buildings. 400 gallons daily per apartment. 2.02.06 Hotels (with services and facilities). 700 gallons per room per day Deductions for Services or Facilities not provided Laundry ---------------------------------------------------- 100 gallons per room per day Beach ---------------------------------------------------- 100 gallons per room per day Food Service ---------------------------------------------- 100 gallons per room per day Swimming Pool ------------------------------------------- 100 gallons per room per day 2.02.07 Hospitals and Medical Centers. 350 gallons per bed per day 2.02.08 Schools. 30 gallons per student per day. (1 “cuerda” = 3930.4 sqmts)
