Place the Goddess Saraswati’s image or idol facing east or west next to books and musical instruments representing Saraswati. Asmin shubha muhurthey. Books are wrapped in red or pink silk cloth. . Cover with the left palm and chant the following mantra: OMamopaatha Samashta. Duritha kshaya dwara. First light the oil lamp.
Do salutation and contemplate in Lord Vigneshwara chanting: Om Shuklam bharadharam Vishnum. Shashi varnam chaturbhujam Prasanna vadanam dyayeth. palms. Sit with folded legs facing the Goddess.
