1. Fill out the table, using the unit circle. You’re looking for the x coordinate, y-coordinate and the y-coordinate divided by the x-coordinate where the radius touches the edge of the circle.

2. What is the reference angle of 330 degrees? Of 135?

3. Draw a rotation diagram for each of the following angles and then determine the ordered pair that lies on the unit circle for each angle. (a) -120 degrees (b) 495 degrees (c) 540 degrees (d) -300 degrees

4. Take a wheel. The wheel has a radius of 1 ft. Put exactly one (1) small red light near the top of the wheel. Then roll the wheel down the street. It’s a very slow moving wheel, and it turns approximately 1 degree per second. So it takes 6 minutes for the wheel to complete a full turn. For example, at 0 seconds light is still at the top of the wheel, so it’s 2 ft above the ground. After 360 seconds, it’s back at 2 ft above the ground. Complete the table to track the height at 30 second intervals. Time (sec) Height (ft) 0 2 30 60 90 120 150 180 210 240 270 300 330 360 2

Hey: What would it look like if you graphed this table? I bet it would look cool.
