CLEMENTS NEWS Wednesday APRIL 11

District Track Meet Info
 The finals of the District 23-5A Track Meet will be held at Hall Stadium on the campus of Hightower High School Thursday April 12, 2012. Field Events will start at 3:30 and running events will begin at 5:00. We invite students to come and support their team. Any student planning to attend will be required to provide a campus photo ID and be in compliance with the Fort Bend ISD Dress Code to purchase a ticket and enter the event. Good luck to all the participants as the compete to advance to the Regional Track Meet to be held at Humble High School on Friday April 27, 2012.

Swim Team tryouts
 May 10th @ 3:30 for current CHS students & 4:30 for 8th graders @ Don Cook Natatorium.  Please have all the athletics paperwork filled out from athletics website.  You do need to be able to swim all four strokes to try out.  any questions email Coach O’Sullivan at

2nd Annual Invisible Children Soccer Tournament
Thursday, April 19th from 4-8pm no soccer experience is necessary 7 members per team -at least 2 must be girls. Each team will get to represent a country of their choosing. Selection of countries is on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Games will be played on half-size fields and you are guaranteed at least two games!  registration -- $35 per team, or $5 per person.  Teams register and pay at lunch from Thursday April 12th- Wednesday 18th. Questions - see Mrs. Badillo in room 1317.    

PEP RALLY FRIDAY
 We are going to end our week off right by having a Spring Pep Rally in the commons at 7:00am on Friday, April 13th! Below are the Top 10 Reasons why you should show your support for all the wonderful things happening here at CHS.

PEP RALLY
 10 – There is nothing like starting your Friday with some great music, cheering, dancing and all around happiness!  9 – Sure to cheer you up when you are back for a full 5 day work week.  8 – This is the last pep rally of this school year and a LAST pep rally for our graduating Seniors.  7 – Basketball Season Celebration.  6 – Baseball and Softball are in full swing.  5 – Tennis for having a wonderfully successful year.  4 – Track and Field is sprinting through their season.  3 – Golf for “sticking” together to sweep district.  2 – Soccer…need I say more!  And the number 1 reason why you should show support at the last 7am pep rally this Friday…drum roll please…  #1…It is a great way to show your RANGER PRIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 Balfour will be here to deliver your graduation invitations on Tuesday, April 10 in the Commons during lunch. Full payment will be required at delivery.  The tennis team completed a sweep of the district tournament by winning all 6 team titles. The Varsity, JV, and Freshmen in both boys and girls were successful in defending their titles from last year.

CHS TRACK NEWS
 Niki Barrow broke the school record in the 1600 meters while winning gold and also placed 1st in the 3200 meters.  DeMarcus Cobb finished 1st in the 110 meter hurdles, 2nd in the long jump, and 5th in the 300 intermediate hurdles.  Trevor Moore finished 1st in the 100 meters and 3rd in the long jump.  Alhajie Dumbuya finished 4th in the 100 meters and 5th in the 200 meters.

 Stillwell Pan finished 4th in 110 meter hurdles.  Erica Rudoff and Christine Tran finished 4th and 5th in pole vault.  Hannah Patterson finished 4th in both 1600 and 3200 meters  The 4 by 100 relay team of Saqlain Saleem, Trevor Moore, DeMarcus Cobb, and Alhajie Dumbuya had 4th place finish.
 LaDavia Pope finished 2nd in 400 meters.

 Overall the boys team was 4th out of 15 boys teams and the gils 6h overall out of 15 teams.  The district track meet is in 2 weeks.
