STATEMENT  FROM  PHILIP  VILLAUME  REGARDING  THE  UNLAWFUL   DISCLOSURE  OF  PRIVATE  UNEMPLOYMENT  INFORMATION  BY  MN  SENATE
BRODKORB  WILL  ADD  ADDITIONAL  INVASION  OF  PRIVACY  CLAIM  TO  LAWSUIT

(Minneapolis,  MN)  –  Philip  Villaume,  attorney  for  Michael  Brodkorb  released  the   following  statement  regarding  the  disclosure  of  private  information  regarding  Mr.   Brodkorb’s  unemployment  claims  with  the  State  of  Minnesota  by  the  Secretary  of   the  Minnesota  Senate  Cal  Ludeman.     “Due  to  the  decision  by  the  Minnesota  Senate  to  release  Mr.  Brodkorb’s  private   unemployment  information,  Mr.  Brodkorb  will  be  adding  an  additional  claim  of   invasion  of  privacy  against  the  State  of  Minnesota,  the  Minnesota  Senate  and  Mr.   Ludeman  to  his  planned  lawsuit  over  his  unlawful  termination  from  the  Minnesota   Senate.     “Over  the  last  few  months,  representatives  of  the  Minnesota  Senate  have   systematically  trampled  on  the  legal  rights  of  privacy  afforded  to  a  state  employee   under  the  law.  Mr.  Ludeman  has  already  publicly  released  private  data  from  Mr.   Brodkorb’s  personal  employment  file  without  proper  authorization  and  Mr.   Ludeman  later  defamed  him  by  accusing  Mr.  Brodkorb  of  attempting  to  ‘extort’  a   payment  from  the  Minnesota  Senate.    The  latest  action  by  Mr.  Ludeman  is  another   example  of  the  lack  of  leadership  by  the  Minnesota  Senate  to  allow  Mr.  Ludeman  to   oversee  the  legal  repercussions  of  Mr.  Brodkorb’s  unlawful  termination.”
