How did you attract/address your audience?

The genre of our film was romantic genre, so this would appeal to females straight away. We addressed this straight away though out storyline and the meaning and emotion behind it. Our first shot was our establishing shot, which showed a park. This is simplistic and easy to relate to, we wanted people to reflect on their childhood when they saw this, which is what we essential do later in the title sequence.

Our actors will attract audience members of the opposite sex, so despite out film being aimed at females, males might also be inclined t watch due to our female cast member. The title of our film is also a good way to attract the audience, as it will create emotion. The audience will question how he will be happy in the future and will want to see more of their childhood. There is also the question of how she died, which in not mentioned in the title sequence at all, but through ambient sound of an ambulance it gives the subtle hint it was an accident of some kind When the children are holding hands it provokes emotion, as it is a cute thing for children to do. This will attract parents and females. We also made all of our characters easy to relate to. Our main characters are teenagers which people of the same age would automatically relate to. We made the dress simple and casual so people would be reminded of themselves and we portrayed them to be middle class, so this would attract the widest group of people. Before we started to produce our title sequence, we did audience research, in the form of a survey to ensure our produce will appeal to our audience. From the results we found that our genre was desirable amongst females, and they preferred it to have a slow pace with a happy ending. Although we followed

through with the slow paced part, our title sequence had a depressing feel to this, when the title appears at the end it gets happier as the title suggests happiness in the future. We also asked about the desirable music, and followed through with having an acoustic guitar in the back ground.
