MINUTES OF THE TOWN OF NEWBOLD LAKES COMMITTEE FOR TUESDAY, APRIL 17, 2012 Rt. 47 and Apperson Drive, Rhinelander, WI 54501 1. Chairperson Scott Eshelman called the meeting to order at 5:30 pm.

2. In attendance: Paul Kuhn, Connie Muckelberg, Dale Larson, J.R. Bartelt, Jeff Ewald. 3. The minutes of March 20, 2012 were approved as corrected. 4. The following lake associations reported as follows: a. Lake Mildred/Clear Lake—This Friday, April 20, Onterra will be presenting the results of the lake management survey to the planning committee. The report is very positive and states that Lake Mildred continues to be free of invasive species. It goes on to identify two endangered species. One loon was back the day after ice out. b. Flannery/Velvet Lake—The Board of Directors unanimously approved the purchase of the Living on the Edge booklets for the Education Packet. It was decided to hand deliver the packets with door hangers. c. Pickerel Lake—things are quiet with the loons returning home. d. Two Sisters Lake—the Town Board is aware that the landing is in need of some attention and is hopeful the repairs will be made by opening day. The TSLPOA will have a progress meeting on June 28. Learning in Retirement will be conducting a kayak/canoe paddle on Two Sisters Lake on May 17. 5. A discussion regarding Education Packets was held. Living on the Edge will be ordered once Lake Mildred decides whether or not to participate. To date, Flannery needs 115 and Two Sisters wants 18. The best price break occurs in full boxes of 46. 6. A brief discussion of the Rapid Response Pamphlet was conducted. Scott will have a completed draft by the next meeting. 7. On a motion by Paul Kuhn and a second by Connie Muckelberg the meeting was adjourned at 6:10 pm. The next meeting will be on May 15, 2012 at 5:30 pm. Respectfully submitted,
