What we’re learning
Our Bible stories for this week are “Solomon’s Wisdom” and “Israel’s Kings Turn Away from God.” We will be reading “Chompy’s Afternoon” and “Dinosaur Babies” in our basal reading books. We are focusing on the –ng and –nk ending sounds. Math will include counting dimes, nickels and pennies, identifying fractions, and bar graphing. We will focus on the letter “h” in handwriting. For P.E. we working on the softball throw and sprints.

Monday, April 23: Read Christ Light “Solomon’s Wisdom” Read “Chompy’s Afternoon” Tuesday, April 24: Memory Work: 2 Timothy 3:15 Math Flash Cards Wednesday, April 25: Read Christ Light “Israel’s Kings Turn Away from God” Read “Dinosaur Babies” Thursday, April 26: Hymn 158 st. 1 Spelling Test (rang, bring, stink, drank, thank, drink, wing Bonus: pink, strong) Here are some ways to challenge your child: Math– Create your own bar graph showing your families favorite sports. Science– Experiment with different items to see if they float or sink. Don’t forget to make a prediction. Reading– Find books at the library about dinosaurs. Share information you learn with the class.
