Session 4: Classification of Financial Assets This session discusses the main issues associated with the classification of financial assets in view of the new 2008 SNA and BPM6. The session will be used to discuss new financial instruments not dealt with in the MFSM and the Guide, and their treatment in monetary statistics.  [Coffee break] 4:00 p.m. Session 5: Stocks, Flows, and Accounting Rules This session discusses the main issues associated with the valuation and recording of financial instruments for monetary statistics in view of the new 2008 SNA, BPM6, and changes to the International Financial Reporting Standards.
