REPORTING: ANOMALOUS/UNUSUAL/OUT OF THE ORDINARY/THREATENING/DANGEROUS EVENTS

AMMACH INCIDENT REPORT
Name: Day: Date: Time: Simon Parkes Saturday 17th March 2012 11.50am

Direction: A64 south bound, approx 5 miles north of /Location York en route to Heathrow to drop off a passenger Police Ref Number: NYP 17032012-0217 Event: Road Traffic Incident – a dark grey Vauxhall Astra, began undertaking my car, and suddenly and purposely the driver turned the wheel and rammed into my vehicle, striking my on-side passenger’s door. I have no doubt this was absolutely deliberate. I am a driving instructor, and because of those skills, I was able to stop my car being sent into the other traffic and barriers, but my car is a complete write off, and we had to be rescued out of the vehicle. The car that rammed us ended up flipping over and was also completely smashed up. There was a logo on the car, I.C.U.com – interesting! That driver got out of his car unscathed, carrying a bottle of coke, which is remarkable, and came up and apologised, saying “ I did not mean to hit you – but I had no choice because of the stuff ahead”. My passenger and I spent a couple of hours in York A & E. I was unconscious for a few seconds only; after x-ray, and two doctors looking at us, we were incredibly, confirmed as having escaped with no broken bones. We both have whiplash injuries along with bad bruising and wounds. There had been a previous failed attempt to do the same thing, in a stretch of road called ‘the Alconburies’, a multi-lane road, the previous Saturday, 10th March, which we managed to avoid, the driver in this instance was a woman.
