Chief complain  Abnormal foot posture .

ON OBSERVATION  Bilateral foot deformity  Both heel smaller in size  Fore foot inverted  Slight bony prominence on the lateral aspect of the foot  Skin creases on the medial aspect of the foot .

DIAGNOSIS  CONGENITAL TALLIPES EQUINO VARUS (CTEV) .

HISTORY  Not detected at the time of routine screening  No treatment given before.  Brought for the check up for the 1st time .

Aim of the treatment  Maintaining the foot in optimum corrected position  Prevent any further increase in the deformity status. .

The manipulation method is to dorsiflex and evert the foot. .Treatment plan  First of all the mother is taught to manipulate the foot after every feed.

orthotic appliance prescribed  Denish Brown splint(as the child does not start walking. .once the child start walking then the DB splint is used as a night splint)  CTEV shoes when the child starts walking.
