Ancient Egyptian Fair

As a culmination of the Ancient Egypt unit, we will be hosting an Ancient Egyptian Fair for the entire school. This fair will be comprised of various different displays on Ancient Egyptand you get to select the topic that you are interested in! It is your task to create an interesting and attractive display on a topic of Ancient Egypt. In class you will select one of the topics availableonly one person can do a topic so that there will be a variety of displays. Once your topic has been selected you will be given three class periods to conduct research on your topic. After you have conducted your research, your job is to create a tri fold display containing the following information: A history of your topic Importance of your topic to Ancient Egypt Importance of your topic to us today (i.e.why are we studying it now) Interesting facts about your topic A model or representation of your topic (if possiblesee me for each topic)

This project will be worth 150 pointsyou will be graded on both your display and your presentation of your display. As an additional part of your grade, you are to dress like you are an Egyptian. (Its Halloween!!) All costumes must be school appropriate. Your outfit can be as simple as paper designed headdresses to a full cloth costume. The Egyptian Fair will take place during Core 1 and 2. In the afternoon that day, you will continue exploring Egypt with games and activities centered around Egyptian math and science.
