The State reports its financial results on two bases of accounting: the cash basis, showing receipts
and disbursements; and the modified accrual basis, prescribed by GAAP, showing revenues and
expenditures. With the exception of FY 2012 financial results, the State’s GAAP-basis financial results
set forth in this section have been audited. Note that the FY 2012 financial results included in this AIS
are preliminary and unaudited.
