Act 5 Scene 3 Assignment You will be assigned a group by Mr. Taft.

Each group will be assigned a section of Act 5 Scene 3, which the group will have to read to the class. In preparation for this reading, your group will fill out a character map for each character, listing personality traits, behaviors, feelings and descriptions of each character. You must also identify the character as major or minor, and round or flat. You will need 5 personality traits, behaviors, feelings and descriptions for major characters and 2 personality traits, behaviors, feelings and descriptions for minor characters. Additionally, you will need to provide a quote from the play that illustrates one of the personality traits, behaviors, feelings or descriptions you provided for that character. You will decorate and color each character in preparation for reading your section. You should color the character, give him or her an outfit, and make sure the outfit matches the social class of the character (rich characters shouldnt have cheap clothes, and servants shouldnt have expensive clothes). You will have to create a summary of what happens in your section of the scene. You should include the important events that happen and give an idea of what each character is doing in your section. Finally, you will perform your section for the class, using the characters from the character map as your actors. You will need to read the lines with feeling and enthusiasm (no dull monotones), you must reflect the action in the play with your puppets, and you should be familiar with the material. In other words, you will need to practice before you perform your scene. You do not have to memorize your lines, but you WILL need to be familiar with what you are reading.
