Characters Needed Narrator - /' Captain- ~ Pirate 1 - ,_. " I, Pirate 2 -' " Pirate 3 - . Pirate 4 _ (A A person to represent each YW value (Faith, Divine Nature, Individual Worth, Knowledge, Choice & Accountability, Good Works, Integrity, Virtue) Narrator: We find ourselves upon the island of Young Women's shortly after a Pirate Captain and her crew have landed. They have been afloat in the Primary Sea for nearly 12 years now and have come in search of treasure. Let's see how their search is going ... Crew (singing): Yo ho hot Yo ho ho and a couple of La De Da's.That's how we sail the day away in the merry old sea.....(sung like wizard of oz's emerald city song) Captain: Aye Maties! We have found us an island, now begins our search. Crew: search for what captain? Captain: for treasure ye scurvy dogs Pirate I: what kind of treasure Captain: Gold & Jewels maties! Anything that's virtuous, lovely, of good praiseworthy! Pirate 2: But Captain. How are we to find this treasure? Captain: Shiver me timbers! Don't ye know? Ye must seek after these things. Tiffany: Captain? Can't we pillage a village and take THEIR gold and jewels? Captain: We can't steal THIS kind of gold and jewels! We have to have our own! Arghhhhhh! We're gonna need these treasures before we can sail through this storm! (points to a sign that says "LIFE") Now who has the map? (crew looks around like they're searching for the map, checking pockets, etc. raising hands up and shrugging shoulders) . Pirate 3: Aye! Here it be captain! (Raises up a Personal Progress book)
Captain: Avast ye! Let's find that treasure! Crew: Aye Aye Captain! (Everyone walks wI captain forward to Faith) \ Pirate 4: Captain. The map says this is the first treasure. (everyone looks at Faith skeptically) Captain: Ye land lubber's must be joking. Pirate 4: No Captain, the map says it be so. Captain: (to Faith) Ahoy then me beauty. Faith: Hello Captain and crew. The treasure your after is within you. It is something you can't see yet something you know. Having faith in the Lord is more precious than gold. Captain: Avast! more precious than gold ye say. Well then, load this treasure up me matties and we'll be on our Way. Crew: Aye Aye Captain (places Faith gem cutout in treasure chest (everyone moves to Divine Nature) Pirate 1: Shiver me timbers Captain, it's another treasure Captain: So ye say! Ahoy!
.Divine Nature: To know of your nature, that it's origin is Divine More precious than diamonds you are in our Father's sight Captain: Aye! And so it be true. Add this treasure to our chest me hearties. (place DN gem in treasure chest and everyone moves on) Pirate 2: Well bless me hornpipe. We've landed another treasure!
Individual Worth: You must move on • but before you go, of your individual worth you . all must know. If you could look in your heart and just realize, of the amazing value you all have inside." (everyone looks themselves up and down and nods heads in approval. Takes IW gem and
add to the treasure chest)
Captain: On we go maties! We cannot fail. We must gather all our treasure before we set sail.
(Everyone continues to walk to Knowledge) Knowledge: Your mind is a gift from God that you are given. All that you know goes with you to heaven. _., Good Knowledge of truth is the key to unlock your way to eternity Pirate 2: Eternity! Captain! That must be valuable. Captain: Aye! Add it to the chest! (takes Knowledge gem and adds to chest and moves on.) Pirate 3: Captain, Why is our gold and jewels so important? (Everyone stops and gathers to listen for the answer) Captain: Why, gold is a pirate's Virtuel Your purity! You are pirates, but first, you are daughters of a Heavenly Father who loves you! Do you love Him? All: Aye Captain! Captain: Then you got to protect your virtue! You must stand as witnesses of God at all times, and in all things and in all places! And you can't let anyone Hornswaggle your
Pirate 3: how would someone do that? Captain: By convincing you to do something you know isn't honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, or good to man-kind. Crew: Oh, we'd never do that (shaking heads and looking to each other) Captain: Am! Ye wouldn't when ye have your treasures withye, and when ye use this next treasure correctly. (points to Choice & Accountability and everyone turns heads to look with exaggerated gestures) Choice & Accountability: It is all a matter of choice, each decision that you make. Will decide your future and your personal heavenly fate. If you choose wisely, then you will find. That the riches of eternity, in your lives wiIllie. Captain: Are ye lassies beginning to understand? The real treasures in your life can be found on Young Women's island. (Crew all nods in agreement & takes C&A gem and adds to chest. walks on) Pirate 1: Argh, our chest is getting full, but it looks like will still need room for a little more (points to Good Works)
Good Works: With every good deed, from within you will glow. A feeling this good (pats heart) is better than any other treasure you will know. (everyone puts hands to heart and nods. Grab OW gem and place in chest) Narrator: As you can see, our pirates are having quite a bit of good luck finding all these \ treasures. It helps when you put yourself in the right places. If they had never landed on Young Women's island, they would've never found all these great things. Well, let's get back to our crew .. .it looks like they've come upon yet another good find. Integrity: Peace is a possession that many do seek. Integrity and honesty will bring that to the meek. For when you live with honor, happy you will be. Possessions can be bought, but joy does not come free! (waves finger back and forth. ..hands Integrity gem to Captain, and she places it in chest. Everyone moves on towards Virtue) Pirate 4: (excitedly) Captain! Captain! (runs to Virtue and points in enthusiasm) We've found the Gold! (Everyone rushes over to see and acts excited) Virtue: Your virtue is a prize, some may try to steal. You must guard and protect it with all your will. You will remain a strong, and virtuous daughter of God. When you keep ,/ your moral standards bigh and follow what the Lord has taught. True beauty comes from within and begins in your mind and heart. Don't forget TIllS treasure (hands gold to pirate 4) as on life's journey you begin to start! Pirate 1: Our chest in now full Captain Pirate 2: We're now prepared for the storm Pirate 3: Our journey will be easier Pirate 4: As we carry with us our VALUE jewels and Gold (Everyone cheers and walks away singing): Yo ho ho! Yo ho ho and a couple of La De Da's. That's how we sail the day away in the meny old sea oflife ..... (sung like wizard of oz's emerald city song) Narrator: We hope you've enjoyed our story of the Captain and her crew. Their tale applies to all of us, but we're not quiet through.
