1. Sometimes we need to know the facts of something from other. We can ask questions to others, and they will give us the answers. 2. Wh- questions (what, where, who, when, why, and how) are often for asking the fact information.

e. g : What is your job ? i’m a dentist. Where does Ms. Linda work ? She works in the hospital.
To ask more politely, we can use :

Could you tell me ? Could you tell me what your job is ? Do you happen to know ? Do you happen to know where Ms. Linda works ?
3. Yes/ no- questions can also be used in asking a fact.

example :

A : Did you go to bookstore yesterday ? B : yes , I did. A: what did you buy ? B: I bought romeo and juliet. A: who wrote that ? Was written by hemingway ? b: no, it’s not. it Was Written by shakespeare.

4. Present continuous tense sometimes is also needed. It is used to exspress an
activity that is taking place or in progress at the time of speaking. 5. We use Be + V – ing in the tense. 6. Example : Rama is playing football with his friends.

mother is cooking in the kithcen. they are reading books in the library. father and mother are sitting in the room.
