Fraser Island Ferries Planning to have a grand vacation on the ever beautiful Fraser Island?

Well then, its time to know the basic facts on how to get there. However, if you want your travel experience to be more exciting and fun, try to go there via ferry! There are several ferry points to choose from and all of them will certainly offer you the best ferry ride you'll ever have for the rest of your life. Riding a ferry means a lot of things, aside from cutting the costs of your travel expenses you could surely enjoy the scenic attractions you will pass by as you travel. You can reach Fraser Island via ferry from Urungan Boat Harbour which is in Hervey Bay to Moon Point. The span of travel time would be approximately 55 minutes, hence you will have 55 wonderful minutes to sight see while you travel. You can also go to Fraser Island via ferry from River Heads which is on the Southern portion of Hervey Bay to Kingfisher Bay located on the Stony Lake. Or you may go there by riding a ferry from Inskip Point or Wanggoolba Creek to north of Rainbow Beach to Hook Point which is the Southernmost tip of the Fraser Island. From these ferry points you could choose from different ferry services such as Rainbow Venture and Fraser Explorer ferries, the Fraser Dawn ferry, the Manta Ray ferries, Kingfisher Bay Ferry and the Fraser Island Barges and Ferry. Rainbow Venture and Fraser Explorer Ferries These are ferries that serve as vehicular service from Rainbow Beach and Hervey Bay. The ferries in here run continuously from 6:00 am to 5:30 pm between Inskip Point and the Hook Point. Both ferries operate from dawn until dusk departing from Inskip Point everyday. The crossing time would be only for 10 minutes. Don't know how to get to this ferry point? Just travel on Bruce Highway unto the Tin Can Bay Road, from there you'll see different signs which directs you to the Rainbow beach, just follow the signs ( this may take 60 minutes) and from Rainbow Beach follow the road to Inskip Point. Regarding on how to buy your tickets, just ask for the nearest Shell service station in Rainbow Beach and there you can buy tickets with discounts that are available on fuel purchases made together with the ferry ticket. Fraser Dawn Ferry You will have 55 minutes of travel period if you go to Fraser Island via Urangan Boat Harbor ferry point. The Fraser Dawn ferry departs from Urangan Boat Harbour to Fraser Island's Moon Point only twice a day. Moon Point which is the most central eastern place in Fraser Island with lots of bars and shops is on the opposite end of Happy Valley which have many great ocean surf beaches and sightings of humpback whales. If you are wondering how to get at this ferry point just follow the Harbour Drive Eastward route down to the harbour area, then you have take a turn to the esplanade, after that turn right to Jetty Road. Proceed to Water Police Head Quarters & Ampol fuel station at the Urangan Boat Harbour and you will immediately notice the Fraser Dawn ferries. Just a reminder, board on your ferry 20 minutes before departure time so as not to miss it. Manta Ray Ferries Manta Ray Ferries go between Inskip Point between and Hook Point. They have the capacity to make 40 round-trips everyday, usually from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm. It is a very short trip, so you do not have to worry if you miss your trip because the next ferry will be along soon. You do not also have to worry about the ticket because you can just easily buy it online or buy it as soon as you are on board.

Kingfisher Bay Ferry The Kingfisher Bay Ferry departs from River Heads and lands to the Kingfisher Bay Resort everyday, the travel time is about 50 minutes. Fraser Island Barges and Ferry Fraser Island Barges and Ferry offers several ferry services which travels daily by the Rainbow Beach from Inskip Point, from River Heads, south of Hervey Bay and from Urangan Boat Harbor in Hervey Bay.
