1. Are there any disabled veterans requirements?

Answer: No; there are no LBE, SBE or DVBE requirements. Since this project is
federally funded, there is a 4% DBE utilization requirement. Refer to Caltrans website
listed in the Specifications for further information. As always in the City of Richmond,
bidders are encouraged to utilize local business when possible.

2. Where can find the local laws and ordinances?

Answer: All Ordinances all available on the City of Richmond website.

3. What are the limits of Contract Item 6, Clearing and Grubbing?

Answer: See Addendum 1.

4. Will the vegetation have to be removed in order to install the Right of Way
fence?

Answer: Yes.

5. Do you want the schedule electronically?

Answer: Yes. Refer to Section 10-1.02 Progress Schedule in the specifications.

6. What about any permits between the Cities and Agencies?

Answer: There is no anticipation of any with the City of El Cerrito, CALTRANS or


BART.

7. What permits do we need for the City of Richmond?

Answer: You need the standard business license with the City. You can purchase the
business license through the Finance department or go online to the City’s website in
Building and Permits.

8. What do we do with the excavated material?

Answer: Excess material is the property of the contractor. Refer to Section 10-2.06 and
Addendum 1.

9. What are the estimated EBMUD and PG&E connection fees for the project?

Answer: See Addendum 1.

10. Project Identification Signs?

Answer: See Addendum 1.

11. Are there any details on the irrigation controller?

Answer: Bid this item in accordance with the Plans and Specifications.
