Q & A =========================================================== Quote of the Month =========================================================== "Stand up, speak out and bravely in God's name be strong! No matter how deeply entrenched the wrong, How hard the battle goes, the day how long, Faint not, fight on! Tomorrow comes the song." ~Maltbie D. Babcock~ =========================================================== Editorial =========================================================== Auld Lang Syne! Is a Scottish song for which the translation is "times gone by." A New Year has come! Yes, the New Year is unfolding - like a blossom with petals curled tightly concealing the beauty within. Lord, let this year be filled with the things that are truly good, with the comfort of warmth in our relationships, with the strength to help those who need our help and the humility and openess to accept help from others. As we make our resolutions for the year ahead, let us go forward with great hope that all things can be possible with Your help and guidance." Pastor Maltbie Babcock used to say that "Jesus has promised those who would follow His leading three things: that they should be absurdly happy, entirely fearless and always in trouble." Maltbie is probably best known for the song he wrote "This Is My Father's World." In his short life he saw unspeakable beauty but in the end plunged into immense sadness. Maltbie's famous poetry about the mill was used for the new Randles Station web page "Bread Of Life." Reflections Celtic Hymns by Rita Ceol is my music choice for January. Her rendition of "This Is My Father's World" is soul inspiring. Let us continue as Christians to lift one another up in love and prayer. =========================================================== Feature Article =========================================================== Dr. Noah W. Williams, the son of Noah and Achsah (Randles) Williams is our newest featured Randles person. I am still hoping that someone will send us a photo of him. Finally we have a search box on the "Ancestors" page for Find A Grave. This is such a valuable resource for

preserving our families information! Also, a new Chat Room is in place for "Telling Your Story." =========================================================== Tips =========================================================== If you have a Christian Website, consider joining us at the International Organization of Associated Christian Webmasters. See link on Randles Station's home page. Getting married? Justin Merriman is an awesome photographer. =========================================================== Subscriber Feedback =========================================================== Thank you Pilgrim George for your kind feedback! Your comments and suggestions are welcome! =========================================================== Q & A =========================================================== WHAT CAN MONEY NOT BUY? A bed, but not sleep. Books, but not brains. Food, but not appetite. A house, but not a home. Medicine, but not health. Amusement, but not happiness. Finery, but not beauty. A crucifix, but not a Saviour. =========================================================== General & Unsubscribe Info =========================================================== Randles Station Newsletter © Copyright 2008, Linda Randles, except where indicated otherwise.
