Dasha Analysis when Nobel was announced:

In Tagore ’s Natal Chart, the Moon period began on 14th June, 1905 and completed on 13th June 1915. Moon a Neutral was the Lord of 4th House is in 12th House. The Fourth House Karaka ((Planet Responsible for Results)) is again Moon. The planet becomes more beneficial during their Dasha when the Lord and Karaka are same and the Planet is NOT a Malefic.

It’s during this period that Tagore gained international fame and wealth. Tagore wrote his famous “Gitanjali” in 1912, this was during the Moon Dasha and Mercury Antardasha (Started on March 26th, 1911 and Ended on Sep. 9th, 1912).

Mercury was a Malefic due to Planetary Positions. Having placed in First House, the 5th from its Position is the Fifth House. The Lord of Fifth is Sun and Sun is co-joined with Mercury. Hence Mercury became a temporary benefic planet and helped Tagore to enhance his communication skills. Mercury the Karaka for 10th House (Profession) was the biggest benefit that Tagore had in his Natal Chart. Jupiter (Lord of 9th –Fortune and 12th – Expenditure) and Mars (Lord of 1st – Self and 8th – Death), both being benefics are aspecting the 10th house.

In 1913, Tagore was awarded Knighthood by British Crown. On 10th Dec, 1913, Tagore accepted his Nobel Prize for Literature in Sweden. Both these events occurred during the Moon Dasha and Venus Antardasha (Started on 26th March, 1913 and Ended on Dec, 9th, 1914).

Venus a Malefic was the Lord of 2nd (Money, Family) and Lord of 7th (Marriage) is placed in First House and co-joined with Sun and Mercury. This combination made Tagore move to fine arts, creativity and communicating his ideas excellently. The Karaka for 2nd House is Jupiter . With the Lord of 9th House (Fortune) being Jupiter a Benefic and the Karaka is again being Jupiter, its Jupiter that made Tagore advance in his literature works.
