(McKnight) filed an Answer to Plaintiff Reindeer Logistics, Inc.s (Reindeer) Complaint in this trademark infringement case. [Doc. 11.] The Answer was filed pro per1 by McKnights president, Morgan McKnight (Mr. McKnight). Mr. McKnight also filed a Corporate Disclosure Statement on behalf of McKnight. [Doc. 12.] While an individual may represent one's self in a case, the Defendant in this instance appears to be a corporation. It has been the law for the better part of two centuries . . . that a corporation may appear in federal courts only through licensed counsel. Rowland v. California Mens Colony, 506 U.S. 194, 201-202; 113 S.Ct. 716; 121 L.Ed.2d 656 (1993). See also S.D. Ind. L.R. 83-5 (Only members of the courts bar may represent parties before the court.). Because there is no indication that Mr. McKnight is an attorney licensed to practice law and represent other individuals or entities, the Court must, on its own motion, STRIKE McKnights Answer and Corporate Disclosure Statement.
