FACT: When the GOP took over, Minnesota

faced a $5 billion deficit.2 The GOP’s budget borrowed a record $2.4 billion from our schools and left $4.5 billion in red ink next year.

GOP MYTH: We held the line on taxes.
$370 MILLION PROPERTY TAX INCREASE

FACT: Property taxes spiked for homeowners,

seniors and small businesses by $370 million after the GOP eliminated the Homestead Credit.3

GOP MYTH: We passed a job creating tax
bill.

JOBS

FACT: Under the Republican tax bill half of
the businesses in the state would have gotten just $27—and most of the rest would have gotten a paltry $228.4 A lot of jobs that will create!
