Question Tag

Grammatical structure in which a declarative statement or an imperative is turned into a question by adding an interrogative fragment (the "tag"). Small question that comes at the ends of sentence.

Positive Statement
Positive Tag: MODAL VERB + SUBJECT ?

Negative Statement
Negative Tag: MODAL VERB + NOT + SUBJECT ?

Positive Tag: MODAL VERB + SUBJECT ?

Example : This is economic book of mine , isn’t it?

A man gets job at this company , doesn’t he ?

She will work as secretary at company, won’t she?

Negative Statement
Negative Tag: MODAL VERB + NOT + SUBJECT ?

Example :

Kao and ben didn’t go to college, did they?

Angel isn’t student of unsera, is she ?

She won’t do that coursework, will she ?

Example :

nancy isn’t student of here, is she ? there were not sick for go to campus, were they? she is an economist, Isn't she?

Question Tag In Verbal

Example :

Ani,Ina, and Nia came to my class yesterday, didn’t they? • • we won’t work tomorrow, will we?

I run into the college before the gate’s closed, don’t I ?

Question Tag In Modal

Modal verbs consists of can, may, will, shall, must, should etc.

Example :
1. They will study English at university of serang raya, won’t they ? 2. You can’t borrow accounting book in library, can you ? 3. she should be more carefull in making financial statment, shouldn't he?
