Steps in Designing your Organization

1. Assuming you have a strategic plan, define your business strategies 2. Prepare a process flowchart for your various business processes in your operations plan 3. Identify the logical and practical groupings of work based on the flowchart 4. Identify the jobs/positions. Ensure that all jobs cover your operations plan.

5. Determine the number of positions required to satisfy performance requirements today first, and in the future later. 6. Develop an organization chart. Determine reporting relationships 7. Determine transition pay structure for each position 8. Prepare for recruitment
