Quark Expeditions
Quark Expeditions of Darien, Connecticut, conducted approximately 21 cruises to the Antarctic during 1997-98 using three chartered vessels. The Professor Molchanov will conduct 10 cruises, of which 7 cruises were sub-chartered by Aurora Expeditions located in Manly, Australia. The Professor Multanovskiy conducted 7 cruises and Kapitan Khlebnikov conducted a total of four cruises, two of which were sub-chartered, one cruise each by Zegrahm Expeditions of Seattle, Washington, and Aurora Expeditions of Manly, Australia. In addition, several other organizations arranged/conducted or supported tourism activities in the Antarctic during the 1997-98 season. These organizations are not U.S.-based, although some American citizens are involved. The Treaty Party Member of the country where the company is based should report on those activities.

SHIPBORNE
a) Hapag-Lloyd Cruises of Hamburg, Germany, operated two vessels in the Antarctic Peninsula during the 1997-98 season. The Hanseatic conducted 6 cruises and the Bremen conducted 7 cruises.

b) Marine Expeditions of Toronto, Canada, conducted 32 cruises to the Antarctic Peninsula during the 1997-98 season. The Akademik Shuleykin conducted 11 cruises, the Akademik Ioffe did 11 cruises, and the Disko conducted a total of 10 cruises.
