Program Ad Fundraiser
WHAT IS A PROGRAM AD? This year we will be offering program ad space in our Christmas and Spring Concert programs. Programs will be printed on high-gloss paper and the ads will be placed in a center insert. HOW DOES THIS HELP ME? This is our only fundraiser! 50% of the cost of the ad may be applied to your personal choir account to be used for tuition, tour, or other choir fees. The remaining 25% goes to printing fees and 25% to the general fund. WHO CAN SELL ADS? This fundraiser benefits COHC members, however anyone may sell an ad to support the COHC general fund. WHO SHOULD I SELL ADS TO? Most people start with businesses that they use (dentist, doctor, bank, insurance company, restaurant, lawn service, etc.). Many people also go to family members who might be willing to support their child, or anyone else they think might be willing to support the choirs. In addition, some parents and grandparents enjoy using the ad space to congratulate their children/grandchildren for a year well-done. The possibilities are endless. IS THERE ANY BUSINESS I SHOULD AVOID? At this time, any family-friendly business is a possibility. If visiting with corporate businesses, you may also like to mention that we also have tax-deductible sponsor packages for $500+ donations. WHAT IF I RUN OUT OF AD FORMS? You may go to the website at http://centralokhomeschoolchoirs.com, click on the forms tab then click on the Program Ad Form, and print as many copies as you like. You may also make copies of the included form. PROCEDURE: Please turn in ads as you sell them, and don’t hold them until the deadline. ● •Digital files are preferred in .jpg format. Ads that you have prepared on your own computer, and printer ready artwork from the advertiser work best. ● The ad should be in its completed form. The digital picture file must be of appropriate size for final print size (300 dpi). For example, if the final print size is to be 3” X 5”, the file size should be at least 3”(300ppi) X 5”(300ppi) = 900 pixels X 1500 pixels. Your advertiser (or you) should send the ad electronically to Kathy Gossen at email@example.com. The advertiser may also provide the ad on a CD. ● PLEASE include your payment with an order form that is completely filled out! We need to know who sold the ad. Checks should be made payable to COHC (Central Oklahoma Homeschool Choirs, Inc.). Prices are included on the order forms. ● IF SUBMITTING AN ELECTRONIC AD: Place order form, & check together in the box marked ADS at the information table. Email ad to firstname.lastname@example.org with the choir member’s name in the subject line. ● IF SUBMITTING A HARD COPY AD: Place ad, order form, & check together in the box marked ADS at the information table. Please don't write on the ad, fold it or staple it. Please note: Scanner ready artwork will be accepted, but is NOT preferred. If providing a paper copy: provide original print if possible, not a photocopy or inkjet print. Please don't write on the ad, fold it or staple it. ● Back Cover, Front Inside Cover & Back Inside Cover are on a first come-first serve (first paid) basis. If you've sold one of these, and you have the paperwork in hand, please give Justine a call to confirm you are the first to sell it. Please make sure your businesses know this up front. You may want to find out what their second choice is in case the cover they want is already sold. This is a good way to get your business to respond quickly. We'll post a message at the information table when these covers are sold.

Fall Semester September ● Make a list of business or people you can sell ads too. ● Call and set up appointments to sell the ad. Start selling! Remember, it make take big businesses 4-6 weeks to get approval--ask NOW! October ● Pick up ad forms and checks. ● Turn in ads to the box marked ADS each week at the information table. ● Check to make sure your business has turned in their artwork. November ● All program ads must be turned in by November 27th for the ad to be included in the Christmas Concert program.
December ● Please send a thank you note and a program to your ad sponsors! They will appreciate it and you might in turn gain a lifelong ad sponsor! Spring Semester January ● Make a list of business or people you can sell ads too. ● Check the list of sponsors who purchased a year-long ad at the information table. Please do NOT contact these individuals/businesses as they have already placed an ad for the spring semester. ● Call and set up appointments to sell the ad. Start selling! February and March ● Pick up ad forms and checks. ● Turn in ads to the box marked ADS each week at the information table. ● Check to make sure your business has turned in their artwork. April ● All program ads must be turned in by April 23rd for the ad to be included in the Spring Concert program. May ● Please send a thank you note and a program to your ad sponsors! They will appreciate it and you might in turn gain a lifelong ad sponsor!
