: • • A pensioner who has not opted for RELHS scheme is entitled for FMA. A pensioner who has opted for RELHS is to be dealt with as under: If he is residing within 2.5 km of Railway Hospital, he is not entitled to FMA. If he is residing beyond 2.5 km of Railway Hospital, then If he opts for OPD, he is not entitled for FMA, except if he is covered under chronic diseases as mentioned in Board’s letter No. If he gives an undertaking in writing that he wishes to opt out of OPD facility, he is entitled to FMA.
The methodology to be adopted is as under: 1. For employees retiring after the issue of this JPO a. Personnel department will determine if the employee has opted for RELHS or not. This information, accompanied with duly filled forms, will be forwarded to Accounts department. For those employees who have not opted for RELHS, Accounts will issue a letter to the concerned bank that FMA be paid to them. This shall be sent to the bank along with the PPO. The residence address given by the employee will be used to determine if he falls under the 2.5 km restriction or not. 2. For pensioners retired before the issue of this JPO a. Pensioner will apply for FMA to the Personnel department in the prescribed form. b. Personnel department will check the employee’s file and determine if the employee had opted for RELHS or not. If not, the case will be forwarded to Accounts department for payment of arrears and commencement of FMA henceforth. The rate of FMA will be determined as per Board’s letter No. PCV/2010/A/Med./1 of 29/06/2010 , i.e. Rs.100/- per month from to and Rs.300/- per month after . Accounts will arrange to pay the arrears and also intimate the bank concerned that FMA be paid to the employee each month. c. If the employee had earlier opted for RELHS, but now opts for FMA, then he will be required to give an undertaking that he will not avail the OPD facility. An endorsement will be made in the employee’s RELHS card that employee has opted out of OPD facility, except for certain chronic diseases mentioned in Railway Board’s letter No. . It shall be the duty of the person making case paper in the Railway Hospital to check the RELHS card and take appropriate action accordingly. Personnel department, after such endorsement, will forward the case to Accounts Department who will arrange to intimate the bank regarding commencement of FMA to the pensioner. No arrears
Besides.will be paid in this regard. . pensioner will also not be allowed to revert back to taking the OPD facility again.
