Tesla’s dreamt of other devices after that. Much of his written work was lost in a fire that broke out in his lab in 1895. Tesla’s silent lack of response was enough for Morgan. He started by pulling his financing immediately and ordering the deconstruction of the entire infrastructure. and asked for funding to develop the system. When Morgan finally visited the New York tower site to check on Tesla’s progress with the new system. as well as the construction of its limited test infrastructure. he famously asked him where he could attach the meter. If he could not make money on the project. and constructed a great many prototypes. Nevertheless. but his dream of free wireless energy for the entire world died there. and he kept a great deal of his own secrets locked up in his own mind. the “free wireless power” project would die quickly. financing both its research and design.com . With no investment influx. in hopes that the project would be entirely scrapped. then it wouldn't be made at all. ability and sheer genius. Confident in his intelligence. Morgan hoped this new wireless system would be a fantastic way to make even more money. Morgan began financing the project in early 1900. He then spread false rumors about Tesla’s reliability and character to other potential investors. and Morgan would have no reason to worry about competing with a far less attractive and aging power supply system. The last thing you want to do is permanently solder two of the wrong capacitors together. It is important that you buy a stand before undertaking any soldering task. Don’t rest the soldering iron on the table. ruining the project entirely. Consult the safety instructions for your soldering kit before starting. Keep your work area clear. be sure to stay away from flammable surfaces or objects in the vicinity. Soldering stations will come with a stand to place the iron in when you’re not using it. Keep hands away from the soldering iron. and neither is a metal surface. As elementary as it sounds. but inexpensive starter kits might not. Linoleum counter top is not a bad either. When constructing your circuit. Keep your capacitors and diodes organized and separated.
but it is imperative that you do not leave the soldering iron sitting loose on the table. but anything is dangerous if you don’t take the proper precautions. INDOOR CONSTRUCTION How to Solder Before undertaking this project. Soldering involves your soldering iron. Once the parts are touching each other. If you are a seasoned soldering expert and are familiar with soldering electrical components together. and it is recommended that these ends be cut off before applying solder. the solder itself.
and then the solder. Most of the capacitors and diodes you will be buying for this project will come in packs far larger than what is required. and apply the solder slowly to the connection. Soldering is not just a science. Soldering parts together will take practice. Cleaning is as easy as brushing contacts and the iron tip of your soldering iron with a fiberglass filament brush. It’s also an art. as oils or dirt on your hands can also compromise the solder’s adhesion process. Dirt particles will interfere with the adhesion process. remove the iron. Constructing the Circuit All of the steps outlined in this section are on the video. so if you feel you are a more visual person. Nothing is more annoying than making a circuit unusable because of a shoddy soldering job. especially when building your very first circuit. Soldering is an art.com . It’s always a good idea to take your time. but it will give ample time for your solder to set completely. When applying solder. Learn how to properly solder clean connections before undertaking the project. the video will be an indispensible tool for you. it’s important to watch the video and read the text instructions before moving on to the next step. Too little solder could compromise the strength of your connection. and will only come with practice. Too much can cause short circuits with adjacent connections. Your circuit is complete. solder the other connectors of these large capacitors to the inside diodes. Solder the wire on either side of your first circuit. so that they can be soldered to either circuit. 12. 13.

Secure the wire running down the side of the pipe with electrical tape. Drill a whole straight through your PVC piping near the top. When working outside.

Strip the grounding wire on one side and connect it to the top of the circuit. and twist it to secure. and drill a hole through the pipe near the top. 6. and loop it through both holes. 4. Connect the wire from the PVC piping antenna to the second circuit. between the two center ceramic capacitors. Now it’s time to test the circuit. Use pliers to twist the wire around your circuit to avoid injury. 5.com . Take your grounding wire. between two of the smaller ceramic capacitors.
