The questions you develop in this week's CheckPoint will be used in your final project. Once you receive feedback from me on these ten questions, make any necessary revisions and save a copy of these questions to be turned in Week Nine. As I have reviewed your questions, some of them would be very helpful as it relates to conducting an actual clinical interview with a patient. A few of your questions fell in the 4 areas that are important when obtaining biopsychosocial information for clinical diagnosis and problem investigation. Please review the clinical Interview section in Chapt 4, pages 6-71, as this would be a good help in developing these questions. Please 13.5 review some of my questions below for additional clarity and insight: Symptoms o When did the problems begin? How long have the symptoms been a problem? o Is there a history of these problems? o What kind of sleeping problems does Marla experience? o What is she feeling when she says she is "feeling jumpy" all the time? o Describe what happens when she cannot concentrate. Development/history o Is there a family history of these symptoms? o Does anyone in the family have a mental illness? If so, what is the diagnosis? o What was her childhood and adolescence like? * Current circumstances o Is she in a significant relationship (married, engaged, live-in partner, etc.)? o Does she have children? o What is her home life like? o What does her job or work environment consist of? o Can Marla describe current stressors? Health o When was Marla's last physical exam? What were the results? o Has Marla begun or stopped taking medication? Earned Possible Points Points 100 Due Date Sun 05/20/2012 11:59 PM MST
