From Roanoak Road east to Elmwood, there is a near continuous trail along the Creek. Our scenic riverwalk in Kansas City is nearing completion - only one connection remains at Troost and it is funded and will be constructed this fall. Brush Creek has gone through a major transformation since the devastating flooding back in1977. Several new bridges have been built, the creek has been reshaped, and landscaping, walkways, and fountains have created a beautiful greenway. Photos are available upon request. UMKC GALLERY OF ART The UMKC Gallery of Art has graciously offered to display the selected paintings of our first Brush Creek Art Walk. The Opening Reception will be August 23rd from 5-7pm and the public is invited. The paintings will remain on display for three weeks until September 12th. The Gallery is open to the public.
