SAMPLE MATERIAL: Magnet Program Documentation and Logs

Purpose: These sample documentation logs can be used as


templates for creating your own. They can also be helpful
for when you and your evaluator inform school staff
about key program components on which data will be
collected.

Note: The Program Documentation Log describes key


activities that each magnet school must collect as part
of its planning and implementation process. A sample
Curriculum Development Planning Log is also provided.

Attached are: 1. A list of required documentation for key magnet program activities in areas of:
planning, outreach and recruitment, curriculum development, professional development, and theme-
based activities. 2. A template for developing your magnet-related professional development plan
(Metis Associates will provide electronic versions of logs/tools).

We suggest that you collect these forms and documents in a binder so they can be easily copied and
provided to: 1. Metis Associates for the magnet program evaluation 2. A federal MSAP program
