As a renowned and responsible institution, the staff at Terminal X and affiliated individuals make it clear in unequivocal terms that proper and authentic knowledge of events yet to unfold is with Allah Alone. Although we have been careful in not going into directionless and worthless speculation, we have sincerely put our best into giving an unbiased and fair analysis based on traditions from the sahih (authentic) ahadith (sayings of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him), established research of accredited Islamic personalities and occasionally, noble verses from The Qur’an itself. We present this paper, and those after it Insha’Allah, with good intentions for the awareness of masses, Muslims in particular. Utmost care has been put into citing proper references for reader lookup. Despite all this, we as humans are liable to error nonetheless and plead forgiveness from Allah and our readers wherever we might have erred unintentionally. Verily, Allah is the All-Watching and Knower of what we conceal in our hearts. We would also like to add that we absolutely do not endorse/support sectarianism. Neither does any staff member necessarily agree with some of the views that might be mentioned in this report. The ‘IIU’ (Islamic Intelligence Unit) is a sub-division of Terminal X. Syria In Focus
Syed Usama Gilani & Adeel Tariq Khan There is no doubt that we are living in the End Times where fitnah (affliction) is everywhere, trying to gobble us up with a wide and open mouth. This is the age of deception, afflictions which the world has never seen before. Unfortunately though, we can see them all around us in every country and in every society especially Muslim states. There could be several reasons for this: You can call it lack of faith, which causes evil to take over. In every society, you will see a specific lot of people who give warnings about the coming events which are predicted in all Heavenly Scriptures. We are not here to entertain you with conspiracy theories as most of the groups are doing; rather, we are more interested in the authentic ahadith of Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) concerning the End Times. The Prophet’s words in authentic form are those on which no Muslim should have doubt. Many people claim that the Minor Signs before the Day of Judgment have already occurred and now we are in the time which will experience the Major Signs. We cannot disagree with these people at this time as we can see some of those Signs being fulfilled: Kaab (R.A.) narrated that the Sign of the appearance of The Mahdi, is that flags will come (to attack) from the West whose Commander would be a man with leg disability, from the tribe of Banu Kinda. So when the people from the West enter Egypt, the inner portion of the land would be better for the people of AshShaam. [Reference: As Sunan Al Wardah Fil Fitan]
The whole world saw this sign take actual form when General Richard Myers (15th Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff) declared war on Afghanistan in October 2001 on crutches.
This was an alarming thing but unfortunately, a vast majority of our Muslim brothers did not notice the sign being fulfilled. Infact, it was the need of time to make future plans keeping the apocalyptic ahadith in mind and only then formulating future strategies accordingly. Now, it seems that we have a very short time remaining as according to ahadith, Major Signs have already started appearing specially after the West-imposed War on Iraq and Collapse of Middle East (Tunisia, Libya, Egypt) especially Syria. We are sharing our analysis with you on current events based on the ahadith of Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him). It might help anyone making future strategies. Our civil and military leadership needs to think about these Signs as it is our well-crafted decision which can put us on either on the Party of Allah or that of Shaytan. Narrated by Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-'As that "The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: There will be civil strife which will wipe out the Arabs, and their slain will go to Hell. During it, the tongue will be more severe than blows of the sword (Propaganda War)”. [Reference: Sunan Abu Dawud, Book # 30, hadith # 4252] Does the hadith above need detailed explanation or is it not self-evident? We all can see this happening in Syria as we speak.
Narrated from Ka'b bin Alqama : "There will be, after the Fitnah (trouble) in Ash-Shaam (Syria), an eastern one (Fitna) which will be the devastation of the kings and the humiliation of the Arabs, until the people of the Maghrib come out." [Reference: Nuaym bin Hammad, Kitab al-Fitan, # 53] The hadith above clearly foretells about the coming War which will cause a lot of nations to fight each other. Fitnah in Ash-Shaam (Syria) is already present which is bent on destabilizing the whole regime. In the coming months, everyone would be fighting a different decentralized war. This would be the period of not just death and destruction but also of massive confusion, confused loyalties (for ordinary public and agents) and massive media deception. Narrated from Al-Waleed that in the Month of Ramadan, We the People of Damascus will see a lot of sufferings and destruction and a huge number of people will be killed in the month of Ramadan. [Reference: Nuaym bin Hammad, Kitab al-Fitan, Vol 1, p. 132] There was a civil war in Syria in other cities but the ‘Free Syrian Army’ launched a big attack on Damascus a couple of days before the month of Ramadan (2012) and right now there is a massive battle going on in the capital which will continue for the rest of the month, it seems, and will cause a lot of destruction and killing which will bring out As-Sufyani (a man from the progeny of Abu Sufyan). Syria right now is in grave danger by civil war within and external threats alongside. A foreign invasion of Syria can be highly expected within couple of weeks as Bashar al-Assad is not willing to step down and has also given threats to use chemical weapons, which is surely alarming. On the other hand, Turkey has also closed its border with Syria and deployed heavy weapons and tanks on the border after Syrian troops downed a Turkish jet which forced Turkey to turn to NATO against Syria. This is exactly as predicted in the following hadith and we can expect to see a possible NATO/Turkey invasion of Syria: Artat bin Al-Munzir said: "If the Turks and Romans (in alliance) amass their armies and a village in Damascus experiences land collapse and a group of people fall off the western end of their Masjid, then three banners will be raised
in Shaam: Abqa', As'Hab (reddish, white man), and Sufyani. A man in Damascus will be besieged, then killed with those who are with him. Two men from Bani Sufyan will appear (probably As'Hab and Sufyani), the second one will be the victorious. Once the support armies of Abqa' approach, the Sufyani defeats them. He (Sufyani, a man with deformed Eye) will kill the Turks and Romans in Qirqisia (an ancient city in Eastern Syria) until the foxes in the land satisfy their hunger from their flesh (of the Turks and Romans)." [Reference: Nuaym bin Hammad's Kitab Al-Fitan] Apart from this, more destruction in Syria has been predicted in the ahadith. According to one such hadith, there will be large-scale demolition and catastrophe in the month of Ramadan. It cannot be ascertained whether all of this will happen in this very month of Ramadan or any other year too, but apparently the way and timing in which these Signs are being fulfilled, it has become crystalclear that we will see this happening in our life time, if Allah Wills. Ka'b said: "There will be around the Euphrates, near Ash-Sham (Syria) or a little beyond it, a great assembly (of armies). They will fight each other over wealth, and seven out of every nine will be killed. And that will be after the Al-Hadda (demolition) and the Al-Wahiya (catastrophe) in the month of Ramadan and after the split resulting in three banners (battalions or armies), each (head of a battalion or army) will seek the kingship (or possession of the wealth or treasure) for himself, among them is a man whose name is 'Abdullah (Sufyani's name is also supposed to be Abdullah)." [Reference: Nuaym bin Hammad's Kitab Al-Fitan] The “Wealth” in this hadith could refer to the mountain/heaps of gold which will appear from the Euphrates River for which people would fight as mentioned in Sahih Muslim Book # 41, hadith # 6918. It is confirmed that this Sign has yet to appear but only Allah Knows when. We can make random, worthless speculations all we want but the actual knowledge is with Allah Alone. Now the question arises, who is the Sufyani and what will he do? The answer is, he will be a “Muslim Hero”, most probably a victorious man from the Free Syrian Army or could be anyone else whom the Free Syrian Army and Syrian people will
agree upon as a ruler; later on he will show his real face and will start killing Muslims in large numbers. Ahadith tell us that most of his followers will be from the Banu Kalb tribe (Banu Kalb Tribe is a very old and one of the biggest tribes in the Middle East having Shiites adherents in majority. The current leadership of Syria (Bashar al-Assad) also belongs to the Alawi tribe of Banu Kalb). As told in the hadith: Abu Hurayrah (R.A.) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “A man will emerge from the depths of Damascus. He will be called Sufyani. Most of those who follow him will be from the tribe of Kalb. He will kill by ripping the stomachs of women and even kill the children. A man from my family will appear in the Haram, the news of his advent will reach the Sufyani and he will send to him one of his armies. He (referring to the Mahdi) will defeat them. They will then travel with whoever remains until they come to a desert and they will be swallowed. None will be saved except the one who had informed the others about them.” [Reference: Mustadrak Al-Hakim]
Right now, we are at the verge of Sufyani’s appearance. This is highly expected as civil war in Syria is at its worst and heavy battle is going on in Damascus which is causing a lot of bloodshed. Fitnah is on its peak and is eating the Syrian people. Another question arises, that if the Free Syrian Army manages to get rid of the Bashar al-Assad regime, will there be peace in the country? If you ask me personally, I will say with firm confidence that no, there will not be peace then too. More difficult time is ahead in Syria and the world will see more bloodshed and destruction therein in the coming days. The war will turn out to be on its worst condition as soon as the Euphrates fully uncovers the mountain of gold (treasure). The Syrian people are really facing a difficult time. They do not know what they are supposed to do. Apparently, the ‘Free Syrian Army’ is a symbol of resistance for the Sunni Muslims in the country and a vast majority is supporting them who are sincere people and want to get rid of the criminals belonging to Banu Kalb; but unfortunately, they do not know by whom they are being used as pawns in a large game. This is a triggered ‘revolution’ to make the regime collapse so that the agenda of the New World Order for a ‘Greater Israel’ can proceed. I believe that a very dirty game is being played in the Middle East at large and it will not end without a very dangerous battle which is just around the corner. On the other hand, Iran is continuously supporting the crimes of Banu Kalb in Syria which is provoking Sunni/Shiite fighting; this has lead to mass agitation among Muslims and divided them further. Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) already told us about such incidents and told us what to do in such a situation: Narrated Abu Bakrah (R.A.), Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said: “There will be a period of commotion in which the one who lies down will be better than the one who sits, and the one who sits is better than the one who stands, and the one who stands is better than the one who walks, and the one who walks is better than the one who runs (to it)”.
I asked: “What do you command me to do, Apostle of Allah?” He replied: “He who has camels should remain with his camels, he who has sheep should remain with his sheep, and he who has land should remain with his land”. I asked: “If anyone has more of these, (what should he do)?” He replied: “He should take his sword, strike its edge on a stone, and then escape if he can” [Reference: Sunan Abu Dawud, Book# 30, hadith # 4243] In another hadith it says: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “All their slain will go to Hell”. I (Wabisah) asked: “When will this happen Ibn Mas'ud”? He replied: “This is the period of turmoil (harj) when a man will not be safe from his associates”. I asked: “What do you command me (to do) if I happen to live during that period?” He replied: “You should restrain your tongue and hand and stay at home”. [Reference: Sunan Abu Dawud, Book # 30, hadith # 4245]
