EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
This report is basically prepare for the analysis and gather the deep knowledge about the Total Parco Pakistan Limited ,which is international energy group and world wide fourth largest group which deal with energy exploration, refine it and efficiently supply it to the end consumers and in the Pakistan it is fourth biggest group and it is the joint venture between the Total France and the Pak Arab refinery Abu Dhabi group. In the company the 140 employees run the whole set up of the company through out in the Pakistan .The decision making process in the more formal and the democratic the 80% of the authority is vested in the chief executive officer of the company ,in the company the board of the directors take the decisions which are more critical and the of the strategic in nature they also form the statue and the policies of the company. The decisions about the operational levels and the routine matters are usually taken in the two committees one is called EXCOM and the other is called the MANCOM committee. The overall the outlook of the company is very strong now a days the company is in rapidly growing phase they installed the more then 25/30 petrol pumps annually . They have their own lubricant blending plant and the future prospect of the is bright because in the Pakistan a growing economy and population growth rate is very high so the demand of the fuel is very high that is great opportunity for the company and for its growth.

8. BRIEF INTRODUCTION OF THE ORGANIZATION S BUSINESS SECTOR:


Total Parco Pakistan Limited (TPPL) is a joint venture of the total a French company and the Pak Arab Refinery Company of the Abu Dubai. They are deal with the energy sectors like the refine the crude oil ,deliver it to the Total petrol pumps, they also deal with the lubricant oils and the furnace oil and also deals with the Compress Natural Gas (CNG).TPPL is a fourth largest group in the Pakistan and the Total is the fifth largest company in the world which deals with the energy sector.

9. OVERVIEW OF THE ORGANIZATION:


a. BRIEF HISTORY OF THE ORGANIZATION: TPPL started its business in Pakistan in 2001 .They establish their first petrol pump in Lahore .The venue of its first petrol pump is lower mall near the Government college university formerly known as the Government college Lahore. At that time company has a minor infrastructure and starts its business from a small bungalow of Gulberg in Lahore .Now the company grows its infrastructure rapidly. In now a days they establish almost 25 to 30 petrol pumps annually and the company has a vision that at the end of the 2014 they will establish 400 to 500 petrol pumps in the wide areas of the Pakistan. At that time the company has 225 petrol pumps in the Pakistan. b. NATURE OF THE ORGANIZATION: The TPPL is basically the joint venture between the Pak Arab Refinery Company (PARCO) and the Total .So it is basically a limited company. There are basically two types of the limited companies one is that whose shares are sales openly in the stock exchange which are called the public limited companies other shares of the companies are not openly sales so the TPPL belongs to the latter kind of the limited company whose is though a limited company but it is not registered in the stock exchange and nor its shares are sales in the stock exchange openly . Basically there are two partners of the Total Parco Pakistan Limited as mention above in the company the 60% shares belongs to the Total and the 40% shares hold by the Pak Arab Refinery company. So according to the Company Act 1984 mostly critical and strategic kind of the decisions are taken by the board of the directors. So it is a limited company. c.BUSINESS VOLUME (TOTAL NUMBER OF STOCK, SHARES,BONDS/COMMODITIES, FUTURE CONTRACT PLANNED FOR A PARTICULAR PERIOD ,etc)

PRODUCT LINES (A COMPLETE RANGE OF PRODUCTS, SERVICES AND SOLUTIONS OF THE ORGANIZATION): Basically the main product of the TPPL is the supply of the fuels .They supply the fuel through two ways 1/ Through network sale 2/ Industrial sales Under mention the both of ways of the supply of the fuels 1/through net work sale ( company s own petrol pumps): Through the network sales the company sales three kinds of the products which mention below a/PETROL: At their network petrol pumps company sales the petrol at their exclusive petrol pumps. b/ DIESEL: At their exclusive petrol pumps they also sales the diesel . c/HIGH OCTANE PETROL: It is also a product of the network sale. 2/INDUSTRIAL SALES: It is also a product /way of delivery of the fuel . In it the company directly supply the furnace oil /diesel to that companies in the different business sectors who have their own power generation plants like the Unilever, Nestle, Ici, Cement industry and other lot of Textile mills in the Pakistan. 3/LUBRICANT: The TPPL also a major company in the Pakistan whose has a large line of the Lubricant products for the sale for this purpose they also established a Lubricant blending plant at the Port Bin Qasim. They also sales these lubricants from their petrol pumps and directly to the various industry sectors itself and deliver them efficiently and effectively.

e. COMPETITORS: In the Pakistan the company has almost 10 competitors. So some names of major competitors are mention below: 1/ Pakistan State Oil (PSO). 2/ Shell 3/ Caltax 4/ Atock Petroleum 5/ Admore (AMO) 6/ Bosicore (BICO) 7/ Asskar One and there are some others local and international players as well operate in this sector of the business.

b. NUMBER OF EMPLOYEES: The Total has 142 permanent employees and others are the contractual or the third party contractual employees. c. MAIN OFFICE: The main Office of the company is in Lahore at the address mention below: 11/1 block-b model town Lahore 54700 Pakistan.

d. INTRODUCTION OF ALL DEPARTMENTS:

The organization has six or seven different departments the bird eye view of these departments have been mention below one by one . 1/Human resources and the administration The function of this department is that to recruit new employees according to their caliber and the experience and if they feel any need for their training then they also conduct the training for them .etc. 2/Finance and account : They are responsible for all the expenditure of the company, making the budget sheet and the balance sheet of the company . 3/Operation department: It looks after the timely delivery of the product to their ware houses and from them to the various final destination of the product. 4/Retail sale It takes care the retail sales of the company it keeps records of the sales of the companys all petrol pumps. The marketing of their product is also the responsibility of this department . 5/Industial sales: This department is responsible for the industrial sales of the company as mention in the product line section company also deliver the furnace/diesel oil to the different business sectors specially those companies which have their own power generation plants so this department take care the sales and the marketing of this product. 6/ External affairs and the security: As the products of the company is very sophisticated and dangerous as percept to the security of the environment and the people of the surroundings so this department make sure of all these securities that any mishaps may becomes a ignominy for the company this department also look after the different social and non social affairs for the company for the better image of the company among the public of the Pakistan.

7/ Internal audit:

This department is responsible for make sure that all the departments function/working according to the policies of the Board Of Directors or not .They are consists of the a committee the members of the committee are the head of all departments and they meet weekly or quarterly to make sure the consistency of the operations of the different department according to their pre defined agenda. e. COMMENTS ON THE ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE: Basically the Total has a lenient structure organization .It has not a very long hierarchical organizations all the decisions of the routine matters are taken by the middle managers like the manager of purchase , manager of finance , managers of sales department . But for taken some critical or the strategic based decisions always taken by the different committees like the committee of the managers of all departments which is called the MAN COM this committee takes the decision about the daily operations in this committee the managers and the head of all departments which are called the vice president are the members of this committee and the critical employees of the organization whose experience and the expertise play a very important role in the organization are also the members of this committee .So if the decision of that kid which is some critical in nature so the managers present them in the MANCOM committee if the nature of the decision is more complex and has a strategic nature then it goes to the EX COM COMMITTEE which is consists of the heads of all departments which are called the vice presidents of different departments. The Board of the directors and the CEO are not the members of the management they only look after or develop the policies matters or making the decisions about highly strategic(long term strategic planning) matters. In the TPPL there are seven members of the board of directors four belongs to the Total and the three belongs to the PARCO. In the to of this hierarchy the CEO which only direct the report to the board of directors.

11. PLAN OF YOUR INTERNSHIP PROGRAM: a.


A BRIEF INTRODUCTION OF THE BRANCH WHERE DID THE INTERNSHIP: I did the my internship in the purchase and the supply chain management and my basic emphasis remain in the logistic management department because it is the main section and the branch of the supply chain and the purchase department . Total Parco Pakistan Limited has 122 Tank Lorries divided between five supply points. Almost all of the Tank Lorries are evaluated according to predefined parameters proposed by PATROM. These parameters are divided into five categories which are as under. Tractor/Truck Trailer Tank Accessories Vehicle Papers. These tank lorries are evaluate/maintenance on the daily basis it is the responsibility of the logistic department to make sure of the supply of the fuels at the companys petrol pumps at the effective way and make sure the delivery of the fuel at the time and uses least fuels of these lorries.

I began to start working in the supply chain and purchase department from 22-May2010 to the 14-jul-2010.

I got the training in the supply chain and purchase department specially in one of its branch/ section called the logistic management .The duration of my training is forth night/fifteen days.

12. TRAINING PROGRAM:

a. DETAIL DESCRIPTION OF THE OPERATIONS /ACTIVITIES OF THE DEPARTMENTS WORK IN: I work in the supply chain and purchase department .There are lot of different functions/ activities this department has been perform below mention few of them: 1. USES THE MAJOR INVESTMENT OF THE COMPANY: Basically in the Total Parco this department comes under the Finance department the vice President of this department is responsible for all the activities of this department .If the manager of the purchase and supply chain take a decision of the critical nature then he take the recommendation from the head of the finance department which is called the vice president. The job of the purchase manager is more important and critical in nature because this department uses more then 60% of the companys investment .This department uses both kinds of the investments like the operating expenses which are called the OPEX and the capital expenses as well which are called the CAPEX.How this department uses these investment and in what functions and activities we mention below: a. SELECTION THE VENDORS AND GIVEN THEM THE CONTRACT: It is the prime and most important activity of this department to select the vendors from the strict assessment process which are mention in the company policy the vendor who is fully suit to these policies the purchase manager give the contract to that vendor further more the company make sure to developed the lasting relationship to that vendor for this they give them some re to developed the lasting relationship to that vendor for this they give them some royalty. These all activities are perform by the purchase manager. b. IT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PURCHASING FOR THE COMPANY: This department is also responsible to purchase for the company there are two kinds of the purchasing section: 1. PURCHASING THE RAW MATERIAL: This department is responsible for purchasing all the raw material for the company. 2. PURCHASING THE PACKAGING MATERIAL: This department is also responsible to purchasing the raw material but also purchasing the packaging material for the better protection their products. LOGISTIC MANAGEMENT:

It is also a very important branch /sub section of the supply chain and the purchase department. Total Parco Pakistan Limited has 122 Tank Lorries divided between five supply points. SUPPLY /DISTRIBUTION OF THE FUEL TO THE WHOLE AREAS IN THE PAKISTAN: It is also a very important activities of the /functions of the logistic department that they effectively and with very low cost make it sure the delivery of the fuels to their all companys petrol pumps in everywhere in Pakistan with effective manners. For this purpose this department make sure predictive maintenance of their all Lorries which specially take the fuels from depot of the companies that they may not create any malfunction during their delivery to their companys petrol pumps. 2. SUPPLY THE FUEL TO THE INDUSTRY : It is also the very important tasks of the logistic management that they will provide the fuel to the different business sectors and also according to their requirement and the demand and this department also make sure the timely and effectively delivery of the fuels to these companies. 3. STOCK THE LUBRICANTS TO THE WARE HOUSES OF THE COMPANY: These lorries also well function in the up stream of the supply chain as mention above that for to meet the growing requirement of the consumers and the industry as to the perspective of the Lubricants the TPPL has now established

its own Lubricant plant at the Port Bin Qasim so these lorries take these Lubricant from this plant and deliver them to their ware houses . 4. STOCK THE FUEL IN THE DEPOT : It is also the activities of the logistic department that to make sure the proper stock in their oil depot . c. DETAIL DESCRIPTION OF THE TASKS ASSIGNED : I appoint in the logistic management which is a sub section of the supply chain and purchase department .My task during this internship tenure is that and the manager of this department is told me that I should closely observe the logistic management and give them the valuable recommendations from which the company may more effectively and efficiently deliver their products not only their oil depot but also to their ware houses .It is also my task that I will devise and recommend the best practices to the management through implement these practice the expenses of the transportation of the delivery of the fuel and the lubricant remain minimum. To accomplished this task successfully give them the suggestions that the conditions of the Lorries and the Tank is appropriate if they are not in such kind of position that they deliver the product efficiently so I recommended them to bring the tanks and the Lorries from third party it is also my task to evaluate the different potential contractors who will be feasible for the company and it is also my task that I look after the procedure of the transportation of the product from the point of ware house to the delivery of end consumers . I also gives suggestion and evaluate the potential contract vendors for the company which are reliable and the suitable to the company. It is also my task that a keep a up to date record of the transportation cost of every delivery .I also spent lot of amount for the maintenance of these vehicles for this purpose properly assortment the bills of the contract work shop is also my responsibility. It is also my come in my task to make sure the timely delivery of the products not only to the end consumers but also in the ware houses of the company. It is my task to constraint the transportation cost low level as it can be possible . So I give suggestions how we minimize the transportation cost as low as it can be possible the fuel expenses of the transports during the delivery of the product is also minimizing because of implementing of these suggestions and the employed of these best practices we can reduce our cost of transportation at the minimum level which give us the ample opportunity to take a competitive edge over our competitors.

13. FUNCTIONS OF THE MANAGEMENT :


a. PLANNING: DECISION MAKING PROCESS: Basically in the Total Parco Pakistan Limited the decision has been taken at the three different levels we mention them below one by one : 1/ DECISIONS ABOUT THE STRATEGIC NATURE: The decisions about the strategic nature is usually taken in the committee which is called the EXCOM the members of this committee are the all the heads of all departments .They sit at the first day of the accounting year and make the planning of the whole year what product the company want to sale how much and who much the infrastructure will grow what new business the company has to starts and the all budgets of all the departments has been respectively study there and announce the budget in this annual meeting in this annual meeting the members also decided the how many they establish new petrol pumps through out the Pakistan in these meetings they also decided the places for the petrol pumps they build new oil depot or rented it from others companies all the feasible report is place in front of them which is prepare by the managers of all departments so in the decision making they must consult these reports. 2/DECISIONS ABOUT THE OPERATIONAL LEVEL; These decisions are held /taken by the MANCOM i.e. the committee of the managers of all departments it is usually held quartly. In these committees the decision about the operations has been discuss if this is the complex nature problem then this problem is refers to the committee of the EXCOM. In this committee the members are also those employees whose role is critical of the nature for the organization. 3/ DECISION ABOUT THE TRIVIAL/ ROUTINE MATTERS: These kind of the decisions are usually taken by the middle managers or the managers of the department .Usually the decision taken by the managers of that department from which the problem is related like the given the contract to the vendor or the third party contract always a responsibility of the manager of the supply chain and purchase department.

ORGANIZATION CURRENT STRATEGIES: The current strategies of the organizations is that they want to grow their market shares on the three dimensional basis . 1/ ESTABLISHED THE PETROL PUMPS ON THE CRITICAL PLACES: It is the companys prime current strategy that they want to established their petrol pumps at the prominent places through the Pakistan. 2/ MAKE MORE INOVATIVE THEIR PETROL PUMPS: The TPPL is the pioneer company in the Pakistan which first time introduce the latest and the more innovative petrol pumps in the Pakistan and well equipped and also give lot of facilities for their consumers like the free checking and the well established departments store so it is also the strategy of the company that they more developed and become more innovative their petrol pumps with provided the latest the petrol pump machine as well. 3/ ENHANCE THE QUALITY AND THE BRAND IMAE OF THE LUBRICENTS: Company recently established their lubricant plant at the Port Bin Qasim the main strategy or the object of establishing it that they want to grow their sale of their lubricant but also through its brand image and the quality they want to row their market shares in this product as well.

SPAN OF CONTROL:

The TPPL company has a very narrow span of control as shown from the hierarchal chart which is shown in the next topic . It is the advantages that the communication process throughout the organization is very fast and the effective .It is also one of that advantages of the narrow span of control that the implementation of any critical decision in the organization is very easy and quickly implement and the negative politics is also very low among the employees of the organization.

CENTRALIZATION/DECENTRALIZATION: In the TPPL the decisions always take place both ways centralize and the decentralize .If the decisions are the strategic nature or the long term nature then it is usually occurs at the top levels and more formalized and the more centralize for this purpose the EXCOM takes such kind of the decisions and implement it to the lower level if the matters are related to the policy nature or of that type then the board of the directors are implement and make the statue of the organization board of directors are that persons which are chosen or selected by the shares holders of the company according to the company act 1984. Others decisions are which are basically the operational nature always taken by the managers of the every departments and it is decentralized decisions and usually related to the specific problem of that specific department.

FORMALIZATION: In the organization every activities are very formalize even every thing/ every activities or the decisions are take place according to pre defined agenda and even not single employee of the organization make a haphazard or the arbitrary decision .so there are some reports or the data on which every decision is take place . This organization is more formalization I observe in that percept that on the very first day of the year every thing is decided by the EXCOM how much budget they required how much sale /growth of the particular product is required and the board of the directors make the policies decisions and every person/employee in the organization act according to these set standards. WORK SPECIALIZATON: The strength of the overall companys employees is very good .During the job in the organization there is not a very effective set up for the training of the employees of the organization however the company select that candidate for the job who has a vast relevant experience for this purpose the company chooses that employees who has a work experience for the purchase they select it for their purchase department and for the hrm department has the hrm experience and for the finance department select that person who has a vast experience of the accounting field e.g. MANAGING CHANGE AND INNOVATION: In the TPPL they recently implement the SAP system in the organization throughout . This system brings major changes of the technology throughout the company the overall ERP system of the organization is also change .So managing the change and innovation throughout the organization the EXCOM established a project team the major task of this team is that they take the confidence of the key employees of the organization. MEMBERS OF THE PROJECT TEAM: Whenever a new technology or the major change is necessary for the organization it is the duty of this team to implement it successfully. The members of the organizations are 1/ is chairman who is usually the member of the EXCOM 2/two or three members who has a major influence upon the employees of the organization and employees shows lot of confidence upon them.

HOW THE INNOVATION AND THE TECHNOLOGY IS IMPLEMENT IN THE ORGANIZATION: 1/ The project team is responsible to adopt the all employees the new technology and the change successfully. 2/ The project team conduct the training session for the all employees of the organization. 3/ The project team is also responsible to transfer the knowledge to the other members of the organization.

MANAGING IT AND COMMUNICATION: In the TPPL they recently implement the SAP a form of IT system in the organization throughout . This system brings major changes of the technology throughout the company the overall ERP system of the organization is also change .So managing the IT throughout the organization the EXCOM established a project team the major task of this team is that they take the confidence of the key employees of the organization. MEMBERS OF THE PROJECT TEAM: Whenever a new technology or the major IT system is necessary for the organization it is the duty of this team to implement it successfully. The members of the organizations are 1/ is chairman who is usually the member of the EXCOM 2/two or three members who has a major influence upon the employees of the organization and employees show a lot of confidence upon them. HOW THE INNOVATION AND THE TECHNOLOGY IS IMPLEMENT IN THE ORGANIZATION: 1/ The project team is responsible to adopt the all employees the new IT system successfully. 2/ The project team conduct the training session for the all employees of the organization. 3/ The project team is also responsible to transfer the knowledge to the other members of the organization.

In recent days the organization uses the intranet as the way to communication throughout the organization . It is very helpful to steady communication among the employees of the organization. These technology make the TPPL the fourth biggest company of the fuel sector among the local player of the Pakistan though the company has only 140 employees. Next section is the communication how the company manage the communication process throughout the organization it . Usually the communication occur top down but some time it is occur bottom to top like the annual ,quartly and weekly reports are or any issue face by any department ten the manager of that department usually send or forward the issue or report to the committee of the MANCOM or if the issue is more sensitive in nature then it further goes up to the COMMITTEE of the EXCOM. Some time it is occur across the departments like the weekly reports of the all departments are usually discuss at the end of every weeks. There are another way the managing the communication across the company like the strategic and the other employees in the strategic partners the dealer and the consumers are all include to make the communication with them the company publish the magazine called the REMARK and supply it through out all the 220 petrol pumps of the companies the main purpose of the REMARK is to inform their customers, their employees what the companys future planning what their current strategies and what they see the company in the future. c. LEADING : LEADERSHIP STYLES: In the organization the usually the leadership style is the participative leadership style .Usually when ever the Total wants to take some kinds of the decision the whole members of the organization are invited to take part in this decision and also they take the ideas, suggestions and the recommendations from all the members of the organization, every employees of the organization is very cooperative and has fully cooperation to the others members of the organization the top management like the head of department as mention above is the vice president of the department as he is also play of the role of the leaders for the employees of that department ,as mention above the head of department always take the decision of the problems which are related to the routine matters of that department so VP always take the suggestions from all its employees of that department then he will reach a final conclusion /decision. POWER AND THE POLITICS;

They are both a different terms and has a entirely different procedures to each other so in the Total Parco Pakistan Limited they are both or entirely different island so we discuss them one by one separately in the percept of the TPPL. POWER: As the concern about the power the 80% of the power is invested to the chief executive officer of the company and the remaining 20% power is in the hands of the different employees of the organization so the mostly decisions has been taken by the chief executive officer of the company so it implemented wit the suggestions of the different employees of the organization .Others employees perform in the limited power if the decision of that kind which goes beyond that employees then the decision mostly taken by the that person who has more power then that person .So times the chief executive may delegate its power to the some members of the organization. POLITICS: It is very well said quotation from some body where there are human beings the politics is there ANOTHER: politics is the part of the humans culture That thing is also true in the case of the TPPL though they are very professional people working there but the politics also exists among the members of the organization. Usually I observe the positive politics among the members of the organization but negative politics also be observe in the organization POSITIVE POLITICS: In the regard of the positive politics the organization through the positive politics neutralize the profession just like if the members of the organization see some kind of the excess is happen with their any employee then they take some kind of the action in the favor of that person . if there are some kind of the negative things , activities happen in the organization then the employees after the properly politicing that activities may moderate these activities. NEGATIVE POLITICS: In the negative politics the members of the organization form some kind of the informal group with in the organization as mention above the decision usually take place after the proper consensus of the members of the organization so

these group for their benefits has effect upon the better decision making process. MOTIVATION: There lot of the motivator factors has been attached with the TPPL. CONTROLLING OF THE OPERATION: Here in the terminology of the Total the operation means the activities of every department .To monitor the activities either they perform according to the predefine documents or not at the end of every week a meeting is held by the managers of all departments and if they find any discrepancy is observe then they make corrective decisions how to rectify them CONTROLLING OF THE PERFORMANCE: Its mean what is the progress of the organization overall but also keep a check of the progress of the every department for this to make this sure the organization has a department which is called the internal audit it make a check and balance of every department where they are now and where they should be. CONTROLLING OF INFORMATION AND KNOWLEDGE; It is also a prime duty of the internal audit department that they keep the up to date record of the latest information about the new trends and the external factors but also keep the record of the competitor intelligence system and every day make it sure the up- gration of these information and also delete the obsolete information from the data ware house of the company Now as regard the controlling of the knowledge is regarded the company for this purpose developed their own intranet it the responsibility of the internal audit department that they keep all the knowledge of every employees of the organization and after properly coding them they keep them in the data ware house as well to keep safe and periodically up gration of this data ware house is their responsibility and it is also their responsibility of that department the correct information is goes to the correct employees or the department.

In the Total Parco Pakistan Limited the structure of the company is very lenient almost 140 employees of the company run this company in the Pakistan and as far as regarding the management the top to bottom all the members of the hierarchal chain is very co-operative with each other that is possible that though they are in few in numbers but they run the setup of the fourth biggest oil company in the Pakistan .In the TPPL every body has a defined authority and he is work in this define authority and he takes the decisions of routine matters in this defined authority every body has a set of the procedures and he is working according to these set of the procedures. Mostly the 80% of the authority is vested upon the CEO of the company and the board of the directors mostly taken the decisions about the strategic in nature and they are also set the procedure and the code of the conduct for their employees. Mostly the problems which are not complex in nature are taken decision by the middle managers are called the managers of the different department . There are five or six departments in the company and all departments have a manager and the exceeded post is the head of departments are called the vice president of these departments and the management is started from the chief executive officers of the company. The usually the decisions are taken by the managers of the departments but if the problem is the strategic nature then there are two committees one is called the MANCOM and other is called the EXCOM committees. The EXCOM committee usually take the decisions of the unique in nature and has demand the short term planning and the meetings of the EXCOM is usually held quartly. The decisions are usually democratic in nature all the employees are involve in the decision making process and every employees independently give his ideas and the suggestions . FUTURE OF THE COMPANY: The future of the company is very bright .There are under mention some future planning of the company : 1/ The Parco refinery is the biggest refinery in our locality its capacity is 100 barrels daily so the TPPL plan to developed their fuel capacity further more. 2/ In less then nine years it the fourth biggest group of fuel sector in the Pakistan and their target is that they further developed their infrastructure and

the market shares in the Pakistan through their unique and international brand names 3/ It is the planning of the company that they will capturer more lubricants market in the Pakistan for this purpose they established their own lubricant blending plant at the Port Bin Qasim. They further improve the quality and the features of their lubricant for giving better product to the consumers and given their consumers more value every time they use the product of the company. 4/The company rapidly grow their infrastructure in the company for this purpose the company every year established more then 30 petrol pumps through out in the Pakistan and it is the vision of the company that they will established more then 500 petrol pumps in the Pakistan and for this purpose and the better image for the brand of the company they established the pertrol pumps at the more critical and rush hours areas .

7/ the company has developed its own information system with the name of SAP through with the communication process is very fast and cheap among the key personals of the company. 8/ It is perhaps the greatest strength of the company it is the joint venture between the TOTAL and the PARCO and is the largest refinery in the Pakistan so the supply of the fuel is remain uninterrupted throughout the year. WEAKNESSES: Under mention few weaknesses of the company: 1/ The Total is comparatively is small company as compare to its competitors as the Shell and the Pso . 2/ Though the company has the storage system / oil depot but it is not sufficient as to its competitors 3/ The biggest weakness of the company is that the company take the almost all its oil depot from its different competitors like the oil depot in the Karachi , the company rented it from the Pso , the oil depot of the Shikarpur is rented from the Cal tax and the oil depot of the Rawalpindi is rented from the Attock refinery and the whole base of the company for the storage for the fuel is dependent upon its competitors so in the case of some clashes between its competitors the company has no other option 4/The storage capacity of the company is also very short as compare to its competitors so in the case of some natural disaster/mishaps the companycan not sufficiently store the fuel. 5/As the company in the growth stage so the transportation and the logistics problems also company face frequently. OPPORTUNITIES: Under we mention few opportunities for the company: 1/ Pakistan is a growing market so the demand of the fuel is also growing rapidly. 2/As mention the Pakistan is a growing market the day by day new industry is established in the Pakistan so the consumption of the fuel is also growing.

3/In the Pakistan the energy crisis is growing worse day by day so it is also a opportunity for the company . 4// Mostly the Government establish the energy power generation plant s in the Pakistan which also give the ample opportunity for the company. 5/ In the Pakistan the most industry sectors installed their own power generation plant so this thing also give an ample opportunity to the company. 6/ In the Pakistan the vehicle industry is also growing rapidly according to one survey in Pakistan every year the more the two and half lakh cars are manufactured by various companies in the Pakistan so this is also a good opportunity for the company . THREATS: Under mention few threats which the company faces: 1/ As the plan of that the company will installed about 25 to 30 petrol pumps annually so the storage facility of the storage of the company is short as compare to this rapidly demand of the fuel sometime because of the annual maintenance the refinery has been shut down then the company is unable to supply its products to its various sites. 2/ Due to the political conditions in specially in the provinces of the Paktoon khaw and in the balochistan province the company is not invested in these provinces. 3/ The internal security of the country is also a very great threats for the company . 4/ the venture to invents new resources for the energy and the fuel is also a great threats for the company.

From the assessment and the evaluation it is very vivid and clear picture that the company has a very strong and its over look is very positive. In the Pakistan the recent scenario for the company give its lot of opportunities for its growth. Pakistan is a growth economy and market it us because the population of the country is also growing fast so the consumption of the fuel is also very fast. As the rate of the population is increase so the demand for the cars is also increase so this factor also give a great opportunity for the company . There is also a great opportunity for the company that the energy crisis is also growing worse day by day so the policy of the Government is that they want to cover this crisis

to install the power generation plants which are depends on the furnace oil or the diesel and the lot of the industry sectors has their own power generation plants which are opera table with the diesel or the furnace oil. So the overall the political and the security situations provide a great threats for the company because in these threats the top levels management of the company is wavers to make the bigger investment in the Pakistan.

17. RECOMMENDATIONS:
The company is in the growing phase though it is growing fast but it has not the sufficient infrastructure as compare to its competitors . The basic problem the company face is that during the some natural mishaps or during the annual maintenance of the refinery the company face very difficulty to continue supply of the fuel so to handle this problem the company should install its own oil storage facility specially in the South / in the Karachi region. This oil depot is large enough that in the situation of interrupted the supply of the oil from any mishaps the company make sure the uninterrupted the oil supply through this oil depot it is very necessary. As the company follow the vision of the 2014/2015 to installed the more then 500 petrol pumps in the Pakistan ,it is very necessary for the company that they also developed their infrastructure accordingly other wise the great discrepancies must face the company between the supply and the demand of the fuel this thing make a negative impact on the companys consumers . The company must gives more attention on their logistic management specially they take the better competitive advantages over their competitors if the better manage their fleet system .For this system the company introduce the satellite monitoring system for their tanks and the lorries. The company must be introduce more information technology system, through this information system they directly aware the sales of all their petrol pumps in the Pakistan. The brand image in the Pakistan though is very strong but it is necessary that the company must improve more its brand image among the consumers of the company and give the more value to the consumers , give the more quality and more features to their product. To success for this object the company must introduce the department of the research in the company. Though the conditions of the companys petrol pumps in the Pakistan is very fine but is very necessary for the company that they will become their petrol pumps more innovative and provide the services in these petrol pumps in modernizing ways.
