1. The NCC Camp for All India level Football Tournament Subroto Cup for Under 17 NCC Girls from across the country has been conducted at MANIT Campus under the aegis the MP and Chhattisgarh NCC Directorate ended yesterday. The finals of the tournament cum selection trials was held at 3.30 pm on the 30 Jul at the MANIT Soccer Fields. North Eastern Region (NER) and Bihar & Jharkhand (B &Jh) contested in the finals for the trophy for NCC Under 17 Girls team for the Subroto Cup to be held at Delhi in Sep. Major General CK Bajaj, Additional Director General, MP and Chhattisgarh NCC directorate, the Patron was the Chief Guest of the tournament cum selection trials. Brig BN Singh, Sena Medal, Group Commander NCC Group Bhopal, the Chairman of the Selection committee and all officers of the NCC Units at Bhopal attended the finals. 2. Prior to the finals, it was a big morale booster for all finalists when the General accompanied by Brig BN Singh, Sena Medal, Group Commander NCC Group Bhopal and Colonel Naresh Rana, the Camp Commandant shook hands with all the lined- up players and officials. The finals was remarkable as even though there was heavy water logging in the fields, the finalists were determined and played high voltage finals. Even though, it rained heavily during the finals , the morale of the teams was exceptional. Such was the tempo of the match that the team of B&J which lost earlier in the league matches to NER by 3-0 kept its ground till the end which led to draw. Finally, the game was decided by penalty which NER won by 4-3. The NER players were overjoyed when the deciding penalty was hit and took a victory lap around the field.

3. Major General CK Bajaj, Additional Director General, MP and Chhattisgarh NCC directorate, the Patron and the Chief Guest of the tournament cum selection trials distributed the prizes to the winners and runners-up teams. The final team comprising of 22 players which include reserves has been declared with 8,7,5 and 2 players from NER, B&J, PHHP&C and MP&CG NCC Directorates. Cadet D. Grace of NER Directorate who scored twenty goals in the matches will be the Captain. Cadet Gulshan Bee and Cadet Ankita of Madhya Pradesh (MP&CG) have been selected as defender and Goalkeeper in the final team.

4. During the last ten days of the tournament cum selection trials , the teams from all across the country played in the most determined and professional manner. Even though there has been heavy downpour during the last week and water logging in the football field, the enthusiasm of the Junior Wing NCC Girl players was of an exceptional level. When contacted, the motivation level of all players and Cadets attending the camp is very high as the administrative arrangements at the camp in spite of the heavy rainfall yesterday was good. 5. The last league matches between Punjab, Haryana, HP and Chandigarh (P, H, HP& Chd) versus Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh (MP &CG) was held earlier during the day on 30 Jul which was won by the P,H,HP&Chd. 6. It is indeed a matter of pride that the NCC Junior wing girls who have high academic pressures participated in the tournament and selection trials. It was indeed befitting that all players were given participation mementos by the Camp Commandant and Lieutenant Colonel RPS Rathaur, the Deputy Camp Commandant and the Game coordinator earlier at the Camp fire.

North Eastern Region (NER) and Bihar & Jharkhand (B &Jh) will contest in the finals for the trophy for NCC Under 17 Girls team for the Subroto Cup to be held at Delhi in Sep. 2. During the last seven days of the tournament cum selection trials , the teams from all across the country have played in the most determined and professional manner. Owing to the heavy downpour and water loging in the football field, the last two league matches between Punjab, Haryana, HP and Chandigarh ( P, H, HP& Chd) versus Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh (MP &CG) and Bihar and Jharkhand ( B & Jh) versus Karnataka and Goa (K &G) colud not be conducted yesterday. These matches as such were not crucial as these would not have contributed any difference to the overall team standings.

3. The finals will be played today at 3.30 pm at the MANIT Campus Football field. Soccer enthusiasts from the city may attend the same depending on the condition of the ground and rain. The finalists teams are enthusiastic for the match to be played today and it appears that it will be a close contest. When contacted, the motivation level of all players and Cadets attending the camp is very high as the administrative arrangements at the camp in spite of the heavy rainfall yesterday is good.

1. The NCC Camp for All India level Football Tournament Subroto Cup for Under 17 NCC Girls from across the country being conducted at MANIT Campus by 1 MP Composite Technical Regiment NCC, Bhopal under the aegis of NCC Group HQ,

Bhopal of the MP and Chhattisgarh NCC Directorate is now progressing to its seventh day. 2. Yesterday, Major General CK Bajaj, Additional Director General, MP and Chhattisgarh NCC directorate, the Patron and Brig BN Singh, Sena Medal, Group Commander NCC Group Bhopal, the Chairman of the Selection committee met all players from all across the nation. The General officer personally inquired about the food, the stay and related camp issues from each and every players. Indeed, it inspired the players in a big way and motivated them. 4. North Eastern Region (NER) and Karnataka & Goa (K&G) played the first match. The NER team won with a score of 20-0 with their player Cadet D Grace scoring 13 goals. Cadet D Grace continues to be the Player for Golden boot scoring 20 goals in four matches. 5. Before the second match, both the Girls Cadet Instructors (GCIs) from MP & CG, Ms Sharda and Ms Akansha , who have served almost ten years with the Girl Cadets of our state of MP & CG said, It is a matter of honor for all Girls in our country that such an opportunity to Girls under the age of 17 is being provided and that such events will help us to make motivate the Junior girls. Having managed all the girls so well during the Camp, both the GCIs expressed that ther is a high level of motivation in the camp in the players from all across the nation. 6. The second match between Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh& Chandigarh versus Bihar & Jharkhand (B &Jh) was the one of the most powered match of the tournament and selection trials being conducted by MP& Chhattisgarh NCC Directorate. With both teams vying for a berth in the finals, it was great to see the teams playing with full grit, determination, dedication and endurance. With the whistle of the referee, all present knew that it is going to a real tough match. Strategy for the match was hard to define as both teams were full of talented players and that it was a do or die match. No goals could be score during the first half. The sole goal was scored by Cadet Sushma in the dying moment of the match. The second half of the game was even more spellbound with both teams playing even more grit and determination. 7. In the NCC camp organized at MANIT campus, about 400 Cadets from all over the nation are participating. Even though, it has been raining heavily during the last week, the tournament and selection trials are being conducted in an efficient manner. Junior wing Girl players from all across the nation are highly motivated and determined to sail their teams to the finals to be conducted at 3 pm on Monday.

The NCC Camp for All India level Football Tournament Subroto Cup for Under 17 NCC Girls from across the country being conducted at MANIT Campus by 1 MP Composite Technical Regiment NCC, Bhopal under the aegis of NCC Group HQ, Bhopal of the MP and Chhattisgarh NCC Directorate is now progressing to its sixth day. 2. Major General CK Bajaj, Additional Director General, MP and Chhattisgarh NCC directorate, the Patron and Brig BN Singh, Sena Medal, Group Commander NCC Group Bhopal, the Chairman of the Selection committee met all players from all across the nation before the crucial first match between the teams of North Eastern Region (NER) and Bihar & Jharkhand. The General officer personally inquired about the food, the stay and related camp issues from each and every players. Indeed, it inspired the players in a big way and motivated them. 4. North Eastern Region (NER) and Bihar & Jharkhand (B&J) played the first match. A highly professional and enduring match which all audience from the NCC camp and MANIT students relished to watch. The NER team won with a score of 3-0 with their player Cadet D Grace scoring two goals. Cadet D Grace continues to be the player for Golden boot scoring 12 goals in 3 matches. 5. The second match between Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh (MP &CG) versus Karnataka and Goa (K&G) played amidst showers of rain was much awaited. Cadet Gulshan, the captain of MP&CG led the team to victory scoring four goals. Indeed, it is a matter of pride for all present to see the one man Army in Cadet Gulshan at the forthcoming Subroto Cup for under 17 girls to be held at New Delhi in September. 6. Colonel Naresh Rana, the Camp Commandant for the camp said that the selection for the final team for the Director General NCC (DGNCC) is under progress and that the best talent will be selected by the Selection Committee. Lieutenant Colonel Ramesh Rathaur, the Deputy Camp Commandant and also the match coordinator said, As the finals to be held at the MANIT campus on coming Monday is approaching, the teams are now maturing and playing with even deeper strategy and determination. 7. Even though, it has been raining all these six days, the enthusiasm of the players is at its peak. It indeed is a privilege to watch the grit, determination and endurance of the junior division NCC girls during the matches and at their stay at the NCC camp.
