Support to the employment of young people, long-term unemployed and women is a project funded by the European Union.

The project aims at improving the employability of unemployed young people, long-term unemployed and women by increasing their competences (knowledge, skills, and attitude). The project supports the following active labour market measures: Internship in support of first employment of young persons up to the age of 27 (Component 1); Training for general skills (Component 2); Trainings for skills demanded on the labour market (Component 3). The duration of the project is envisaged to last till 24 December 2012. The official language of the project will be English. ESARM1 advertises the following project personnel positions for the need of the project Support to the Employment of Young People, Long-Term Unemployed and Women funded by EU OFFICER FOR COMPONENT 1 (Ref. No. 09-40478/1/-1.1.2.4) Internship in support of first employment of young persons up to the age of 27 Key Responsibilities: The Officer for Component 1 (one position) will exercise day-to-day activities within the respective component under the guidance of the Project Manager; prepare the work plan for the respective component and be responsible for timely completion of a work plan in accordance with the Project contract; prepare parts of the Project Operational Guidelines relevant for the respective component; carry out the selection process of employers and candidates, including the preparation of evaluation report with the final list of interns; conduct regular quality checks of the activities undertaken under the component and in particular by following implementation of internship contracts; prepare reports for the respective component; collect monitoring indicators; update project information in the Project database; provide input to the preparation of public visibility materials; back up the other members of the project management team, etc. Key qualifications: University degree; Minimum 3 years of practical experience as tasks/ project manager; Experience of project work with international organization(s); Good verbal and written communication skills in Macedonian and English; Computer literacy; Driving license. Duration of the assignment: 4 month service contract, starting at once.

ACCOUNTING OFFICER (Ref. No. 09-40478/1/-1.1.2.9) Key Responsibilities: The Accounting Officer (one position) will be responsible for all the accounting and payment aspects of the grant contract; ensure that all contract transactions are recorded in the financial statements; prepare and submit for approval to the Project Manager all financial reports, financial statements, budgets, financial projections, cash flow forecasts and all other reports as requested by the Contracting Authority; cooperate closely with the Procurement Officer to ensure that all accounting, procurement and payment aspects are properly linked; ensure that payments are made in a proper and timely manner, that all sources of financing are available for the Project and that a contract payments monitoring system is operational; control incoming invoices and prepare documents for payments; retain project documents; back up the other members of the project management team; etc. Key qualifications: University degree in economics, finance or accounting; Minimum 3 years of practical experience as accountant; Experience of work with the International Accounting Standards and Macedonian tax and banking regulations; Experience with accounting software(s); Computer literacy; Good verbal and written communication skills in Macedonian and English. Duration of the assignment: 4 month service contract, starting at once.
