I. LFC helps out during the strike of Hanging Habagat

66 dead and 2.44 million affected: This is the latest count of those victimized by last weeks onslaught of torrential rains and a metro-wide flood reminiscent of 2009s Typhoon Ondoy. A week-long postponement of classes was put into order and all LFC activities scheduled for the week were moved to later dates. However, bayanihan still prevailed as LFC members took this time to help out their fellow men who were affected by the monsoon. In their own ways, members volunteered for relief operations spearheaded by the Ateneo DReaM Team (Disaster Response and Management Team), donated much-needed relief goods, pledged water bottles via Hope in a Bottle, checked on fellow members, and spread posts and announcements regarding various ways to help. An organization status report was also conducted to check whether there were members who needed immediate assistance. Fortunately, according to the database, majority were in safe conditions. Last night, LFC members were also spotted at Rites of Passage 2012, a benefit gig by fellow MCA org Ateneo Musicians Pool. The proceeds of the show were likewise donated to the Ateneo DReaM team for victims of the monsoon. Good job on being responsible citizens and fearless heroes, everyone!

Because real fearless heroes exist even outside films
